0:53 to talk to me about discerning God's best for your life. Yes, in

0:58 life, we all have to make decisions, choices. Maybe would recart your

1:00 career, relationships, marriage, or it could be maybe a house that you

1:06 need to purchase, or any decision that you need to make. Vid recart

1:08 your business, your opportunity for the future, or maybe a studying or course

1:15 that you need to take up, or some kind of an opportunity that will

1:19 be with recart you your dreams, your desires, or your ambitions. Whatever

1:23 the Lord has been leading you directing your steps towards your calling, your purpose,

1:26 your ministry, your you know, maybe it could be something like a

1:32 you know, a YouTube channel or whatever the Lord has been speaking to you

1:34 about. You know, one of the things I want to talk to you

1:38 about is, you know, how do you discern, you know, when

1:40 you have to make a choice on what to choose, when you have to

1:44 decide on something, how do you discern this is God's best for you,

1:48 this is God's will for you. And the Lord was just shining something with

1:51 me, and I thought this was such a powerful word. When you look

1:55 at Genesis cham to twenty two, you have to understand something here that God's

2:01 promise to Abraham, the promised son was not Ishmael. It was Isaac.

2:07 Right, God's promised son for him was Isaac. Even though Abraham made some

2:14 poor choices, he didn't wait on God. He thought he should help.

2:16 God ended up with the Ishmael, which ended up in a lot of trouble,

2:21 and we still have those troubles to this day. But when you look

2:25 at Isaac, there's something that really caught my attention. How do you know

2:30 this is God's will or God's best for him? You know, in Genesis

2:36 Trupter twenty two. The Lord wanted to test Isaac, right, and God

2:42 is leading Abraham and saying, you know, I want you to go and

2:45 sacrifice your only son, Isaac, even though it was not his only son,

2:51 Ishmael was also his son. But then God was referring specifically to the

2:54 promised son, the only son, to reinforce and tell you know what,

2:59 you I know how much Isaac means to you. He's the promised chosen son.

3:05 Now I want you to sacrifice him. And a lot of times we

3:08 have this perception that Isaac was somebody who was a very young boy, he

3:14 didn't know much. Maybe he was just uh, you know, in his

3:16 innocent young self that he just followed his dad and you know, things like

3:22 that. But there's something I want you guys to focus on. You know,

3:24 the Bible talks about in verse six, Abraham took the wood for the

3:29 burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the

3:34 fire and the knife, and the two of them went together. When you

3:38 know, you have to understand they were not just going normally. They were

3:39 they were climbing right mountain. God was going to ask him to sacrifice the

3:46 sun on one of the mountains in the region of Morea. Not think about

3:52 this. It was not an easy thing carrying in a mountain terrain or climbing.

4:00 If you understand in that context, you realize that Isaac was not just

4:05 a tiny little boy, and according to some studies, he was probably in

4:10 his early twenties by the time this incident happened. Okay, he was not

4:15 a young, innocent boy who knew nothing. This guy was old enough to

4:20 understand what was happening. He was intellectually in a good place. That's how

4:26 he was able to ask is dad? In verse seven, he says,

4:31 the fire in the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the

4:34 burnt offering? So he's able to think. He's having the intellectual power,

4:39 he's able to understand that, you know what, this seems to be some

4:43 kind of a problem. So he was not dumb. He was not stupid.

4:46 So what I want you guys to understand today here is this important truth

4:48 that Isaac was capable to make decisions. He was capable, and he had

4:54 the stamina and the physical strength on his side. Because Abraham was an old

5:00 man. He was he was It was over one hundred and probably around one

5:03 hundred and twenty or something. And here was this young, vibrant young man

5:08 at the age of around his early twenties who had the ability to you know,

5:14 overpower is Dad and say, you know what, what do you mean

5:16 you want to sacrifice me? Huh? What do you think of yourself?

5:19 Huh? Even when Abraham was tying him up, the Bible is putting it

5:26 so beautifully right that Abraham said, yes, God will provide. But when

5:30 they reached there, he bound his son. Verse nine says bound his son

5:33 and laid him on the altar. You don't see anything about Isaac retaliating,

5:40 fighting back, even though he had the ability, even though he could do

5:44 it, even though he was physically strong. What I want you guys to

5:48 understand is the God's best when God gives you right, that God's best will

5:57 never go against God's will. God's best will never go against God's will.

6:03 God's best will go in sync with God's will and God's plan. That is

6:10 the key I want you guys to understand. How do you discern something is

6:13 God's best for your life? It is something that compliments God's plan for your

6:21 life, that goes hand in hand with God's will for your life. That

6:29 that's not oppose God's will. See, if Abraham resisted or if Isaac resisted,

6:34 it was going to be resistance against God. And you see here beautifully

6:40 that Isaac did not resist what God was doing. God was testing Abraham,

6:46 but God is also testing Isaac. And that is a beautiful picture where you

6:51 understand that what is God's will, will will will always you know, go

6:59 hand it and with God's will and God's best, God's plan for your life.

7:05 And that's what I want you to understand. That's how you realize that

7:10 Isaac was the chosen one for Abraham, the chosen son, the promised son.

7:17 Right. That's what I want you guys to understand. Even if you're

7:21 making a choice, whatever choice you have to make in your career, for

7:25 example, what is God's best for you in your job? That is not

7:32 going to affect God's call over your life. If you wait for God's best,

7:39 even if you're choosing the life partner, the one that God brings in

7:43 is going to be the best who will also stand in to support you in

7:48 the call of God over your life. That's what I want you guys to

7:51 understand. Isaac, the Promised Son did not resist or oppose what God was

8:00 doing in Abraham's life. The promised Son that God gives you, the promised

8:05 posson God gives you, the promised One that God gives you, will not

8:09 be against what God has ordained or planned and purposed for your life. Amen,
