in a place in your life where you're contemplating on taking a step, making
a move or you're saying, John, I don't know when should I move
ought step to take? When is the right time? I want to tell
you something, Guys, A lot of people just look at the outside.
They just analyze and study research. All of that is good. There's a
place for wisdom, there's a place for using your skills, your knowledge and
your ability that God has given you. All of that is good. But
there's a place beyond all of that Because a lot of people go by what
they see and they get into trouble. And I'm going to share two scriptures
with you, and I want to encourage you to go beyond what you see
because you and I have an advantage. You and I have something that other
people do not have. And when we use that for our advantage, we
can see some benefits that other people cannot. And I'm going to talk to
you from the same So when we look at the story of Noah, right,
you guys know the story of Noah where he has just gone through the
flood and he's come out and there's a moment when he decides when is the
right time to come out of the arc? Right? When is the right
time to come out of the arc? And am reading from verse thirteen,
and I'm reading from the Nulti version. It is what it says. Noah
was now six hundred and one year's old on the first day of the new
year, ten and a half months after the flood began. The flood waters
had almost dried up from the earth. Noah lifted back the covering of the
board and saw that the surface of the ground was drying. He could see
that there was dryness around. He could see it was drying up. He
could see it. In fact, when when he sent a doo a little
earlier, the dow did not return, which means the tao found some place.
So there was some dry land around you. But the scripture says this,
two more months went by, was fourteen? Okay, two more months
went by, and at last the earth was drying. At last the earth
was drying. Now from Noah's point of view, he could see it was
drying, but he could not know how dry the earth was. See.
I wanted to understand. Certain things can be seen by what you can see,
But there are things you can't see unless you're connected with your spiritual I,
connected with your spiritual Father, connected with God. Right, you gotta
get this into your spiriten. You see verse fifteen. And God said to
Noah, leave the boat, all of you, you and your wife,
and your sons and your wives. And the scripture says in verse eighteen,
so noah is family and his sons and their wives left the boat. What
I want you to understand is Noah could see the earth was getting dry,
but he didn't just see and they say, okay, fine, it looks
safe, let me walk out. He didn't walk out on his own.
He didn't go by what he just saw. He waited till God told him
to get out of the arc. I don't know who needs to hear this
word. You're trying to do things on your own because you think everything looks
like it's the perfect time to do it. You think it looks like you
know what everything is right. I mean, so to speak, I can
walk out of my arc. It's time for me to launch. It's time
for me to step out. It's time for me to do what I'm called
to do. Because Noah was not called to stay in the ark the rest
of his life. He was called to step out into the world. He
was doing what he was supposed to do. But he didn't do it prematurely.
He didn't do it just by what he saw. He waited for divine
instructions. Today, I'm asking you this question, are you just doing it
on your own or are you waiting for God to tell you when to do
it? Because if Noah went by what he saw, maybe there could be
still some water around and he could have got into trouble. Maybe the soil
could have been very slippery, or anything under the sun could have happened.
So you have to understand. As much as you think it looks fine,
don't go till God tells you to do it. Another incident I want to
share is found in the Book of Acts, chapter twenty seven. There was
a moment when the apostle Paul was taken as a prisoner by boat. And
as he's going by this boat, there's a sign where he is telling,
you know, listen, don't go ahead. Don't go ahead, because if
you go ahead, Paul warned them in verse nine, men, I can
see that a voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to the
ship and cargo and to our own lives. Also, don't go ahead,
but verse eleven. But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said,
followed the advice of the pilot and of the owner of the ship.
Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, their majority decided that they should
sail on. See, sometimes you may just think, like, you know
what, why should I listen to divine counsel? Everything looks fine, I'll
just go ahead. And verse thirteen it says when the gentle wind began to
blow, they saw their opportunity, so they weighed anchor and set sail,
but before long a wind, a hurricane force called the northeast, swept down
from the island. The ship was caught by the storm and could not head
into the wind. So we gave it, gave into it, and had
to drive along. And you know the rest is history about how because of
this they had a lot of loss, right, the luggage, the baggage,
the cargo of gone. People's life was at stake, and all of
this because they did not listen to divine counsel. They went by what they
saw. When they saw it was liking like a good opportunity. You know,
different translations talk about how when they saw it looked like everything was fine.
It looked like everything was going well. So when they saw that everything
was fine, they said, you know what, why should we listen to
this divine counsel. So they went by what they saw instead of going by
what Paul and who was seen or foreseen with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Today, I'm telling you guys one important truth. Don't go by what
you see, go by what you foresee. With the help of the Holy
Spirit. You have an advantage. You have a benefit. You know what
that is. That is the fact that you are connected with the King of
Kings and the lot of launch through the Holy Spirit of God living on the
inside of you. When you are working out, to veel to the Holy
Spirit, to listen to his still soft voice. He's going to lead you.
He's going to tell you this is the time for you to catch.
This is the time for you to launch. This is the moment for you
to make your move. This is the step that you need to take.
This is the move that you need to make. This is the direction you
need to go. God wants to lead you. I want to tell you
something, dear Saints of God, stop going by what you see and let
the Holy Spirit of God lead you. And when you see this, both
in the case of Noah and in the case of the apostle Paul and the
rest of the people in this boat, both are talking about boats. But
here's the thing. One had a good day ending and the other had a
bad ending. In the case of Noah, he listened to divine counsel and
to the step, whereas in this case they did not listen to divine counsel
and they got into trouble. Today, I pray that you won't be like
those in the boat that are possible traveled, but you would be like a
Noah taking a step based on divine counsel. Listen to the voice of the
Holy Spirit, and your life will never be the same for the matter,
Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus, that those who are listening
will take the step to listen to your still soft voice. Let us not
go blindly by what we see, but we will go by what we foresee
with the help of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, I pray,
Amen, God, bless you've been listening to feel for the soul John Gifta.
