0:47 Speaker 2: you on this segment of the Fuel for the Soul

0:48 Speaker 2: with John Gifta Podcast. And I just want to share

0:51 Speaker 2: something very important that we can learn and take away

0:54 Speaker 2: from this passage from John chapter five. We've been circling

0:57 Speaker 2: around this passage this week for the most part, and

1:01 Speaker 2: there's something that I really want to talk about because

1:03 Speaker 2: I believe this is so important for such a time

1:05 Speaker 2: as this, So I understand this context here right. I

1:08 Speaker 2: think you might know this already, but in case you

1:10 Speaker 2: missed this, this is the pool of Petesta, where a

1:13 Speaker 2: lot of sick people laid, and every now and then

1:15 Speaker 2: the Angel of the Lord would come and stir up

1:17 Speaker 2: the waters, and over jumped in first would get healed

1:20 Speaker 2: of whatever sickness they had. And there was in that

1:23 Speaker 2: pool a man who has being a crippled for the

1:26 Speaker 2: past thirty eight years. And that is a moment when

1:29 Speaker 2: Jesus steps in. The Bible says in verse six that

1:32 Speaker 2: Jesus saw him and he knew that he had been

1:34 Speaker 2: ill for a long time, asks him, do you want

1:37 Speaker 2: to get well? And the Bible says this very clearly,

1:40 Speaker 2: listen to this. What the man responds right in verse seven,

1:43 Speaker 2: he says, Sir, I can't, for I don't have anyone

1:47 Speaker 2: to put me in the pool when the water bubbles up,

1:50 Speaker 2: and someone else always gets there before me. And Jesus

1:54 Speaker 2: tells him, stand up, pick up your mat, and walk. Okay.

1:59 Speaker 3: Now, there's so much much we can.

2:00 Speaker 2: Learn, and you know, maybe we'll come back to this

2:02 Speaker 2: passage another time in the future. But one of the

2:04 Speaker 2: things that really caught my attention was that sometimes we're

2:08 Speaker 2: so caught up in expecting God to answer the miracle

2:11 Speaker 2: in a certain way. We want him to show up

2:13 Speaker 2: in a certain way. We want him to give out

2:15 Speaker 2: the miracle, the breakthrough or whatever we're hoping for, to

2:18 Speaker 2: turn around in a certain way, that we don't realize

2:21 Speaker 2: that the miracle is in front of us, that we

2:24 Speaker 2: are about to miss the miracle.

2:26 Speaker 3: This man was waiting for a miracle.

2:28 Speaker 2: He wanted a healing, and the only way he thought

2:31 Speaker 2: the healing could happen would be that if he, by

2:34 Speaker 2: any chance somebody helped him to jump into the pool

2:37 Speaker 2: when the pool got stirred by the angel. So he

2:40 Speaker 2: thought that's the only way to get the miracle. That's

2:42 Speaker 2: the only way to go about it. But he didn't

2:44 Speaker 2: realize that the one who was the healer, Jesus himself,

2:48 Speaker 2: was standing in front of him and asking him, do

2:50 Speaker 2: you want to get well? And he's not even realizing

2:53 Speaker 2: who Jesus is. If you read a few verses down,

2:56 Speaker 2: he realizes when someone asked him who healed you, he

2:58 Speaker 2: didn't even know who healed him. He didn't even know Jesus. Right,

3:01 Speaker 2: That is the kind of a situation that this man was.

3:04 Speaker 2: And here's the thing I want to remind you that

3:06 Speaker 2: you know, sometimes we can be so caught up in

3:08 Speaker 2: expecting God to do things in a certain way. If

3:11 Speaker 2: you're saying, you know what, I'm not going to be

3:12 Speaker 2: happy if God till God shows up at the way

3:17 Speaker 2: I want, at the time I want, and I want

3:21 Speaker 2: these things to be fulfilled, then I'm going to be happy.

3:24 Speaker 2: If this works out the way I expect, then it

3:26 Speaker 2: is from the Lord.

3:27 Speaker 3: No.

3:27 Speaker 2: I want you to understand that God is an expert

3:29 Speaker 2: in using different strategies, different ways, different unconventional methods, many

3:35 Speaker 2: times to do what he needs to do. So everybody

3:38 Speaker 2: in the pool knew of one way the healing could happen.

3:41 Speaker 2: That is when the sturning of the water happened, and

3:44 Speaker 2: whoever jumped in first, But the miracle came to this

3:47 Speaker 2: man in a different way, directly from the souls the

3:51 Speaker 2: healer Jesus Christ. Think about this, right, So sometimes I

3:55 Speaker 2: want you to think about this. You may be feeling like,

3:57 Speaker 2: oh my gosh, God is not showing up. God is

3:59 Speaker 2: not doing this miracle. God is not doing this in

4:01 Speaker 2: my life. I don't understand what is going on. But

4:04 Speaker 2: I wanted to understand. Perhaps the Lord is showing a

4:08 Speaker 2: different strategy, a different way. God is asking you, do

4:11 Speaker 2: you want to get well. I want to heal you.

4:13 Speaker 2: I'm here to restore you. I'm here to deliver you.

4:15 Speaker 2: I'm here to give you the breakthrough you're hoping for.

4:17 Speaker 2: But you're not paying attention because you're still focused on

4:20 Speaker 2: the other method that is working for other people.

4:23 Speaker 3: Are you really what I'm saying? I just want to

4:25 Speaker 3: let you guys know this.

4:27 Speaker 2: You might have heard this before, but I want to

4:30 Speaker 2: say this again that, by the grace of God, this

4:32 Speaker 2: podcast has been ranking up the charts. And one of

4:35 Speaker 2: the new stats that I received yesterday or the day before,

4:38 Speaker 2: if I'm not wrong, was the fact that the podcast

4:41 Speaker 2: I think it was yesterday, is that this podcast is

4:45 Speaker 2: among the top one person podcasts of all the podcasts

4:47 Speaker 2: in the world. Like, that's a global ranking among over

4:51 Speaker 2: four million plus podcasts.

4:53 Speaker 3: This is among the top.

4:54 Speaker 2: Twenty thousand plus podcasts. Okay, I mean, it's not John Gift.

4:59 Speaker 2: It's all the Lord's work, and I'm grateful for the

5:00 Speaker 2: Lord's doing over the podcast. But here's the thing what

5:04 Speaker 2: caught my attention was for the last of late, you know,

5:07 Speaker 2: I've been like so frustrated about why certain things were

5:11 Speaker 2: not working out the way I wanted. I was constantly

5:13 Speaker 2: seeing you know, getting a shadow band on Instagram and Facebook.

5:18 Speaker 3: Many times YouTube was going like.

5:20 Speaker 2: Up and down, you know, like compared to the kind

5:22 Speaker 2: of out in, the kind of hairfoot that I was

5:24 Speaker 2: putting onto YouTube, I was not seeing the result. And

5:27 Speaker 2: suddenly dawned on me and I realized, oh my gosh,

5:30 Speaker 2: listened to this. I was praying that God do a miracle,

5:33 Speaker 2: we blessed the work of my hands, and maybe, just

5:36 Speaker 2: maybe I was praying that the miracles should come through

5:38 Speaker 2: YouTube or Instagram. But the miracle actually came through the podcast,

5:43 Speaker 2: you know what I mean, like to be among the

5:45 Speaker 2: top one person podcasts in the whole wide world. Like

5:48 Speaker 2: I was like, look what the Lord has done. I

5:50 Speaker 2: mean like God was showing me that he was showing

5:53 Speaker 2: up in a certain area. But I was so caught

5:55 Speaker 2: up looking at other things, like oh my gosh, you

5:58 Speaker 2: know what, I'm not getting the kind of recognition on socials,

6:01 Speaker 2: I'm getting shadow bad or I'm not getting to getting

6:04 Speaker 2: the heads I want to see on YouTube. But maybe

6:07 Speaker 2: there's a time for that. Maybe there's going to be

6:09 Speaker 2: a moment when the Lord is going to show up

6:11 Speaker 2: on YouTube. But the thing is this, the Lord is

6:14 Speaker 2: showing up on the podcast, and I I was blinded

6:18 Speaker 2: from seeing that, you know what I mean, it was

6:20 Speaker 2: already ranking up the charts in multiple countries, trending and

6:23 Speaker 2: all of these things. But then I decided, like, you know,

6:25 Speaker 2: what the Lord is doing or work. Then I started praying, Lord,

6:29 Speaker 2: help me to take this podcast what is already working

6:32 Speaker 2: to the next level. In a word from this coming

6:36 Speaker 2: week converts, I'm planning to you know, like incorporate a

6:40 Speaker 2: few things to make this podcast reach you know, like

6:43 Speaker 2: to be the best that I can do. And you know,

6:47 Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I'm investing a lot into this, right.

6:50 Speaker 2: Not only am I doing this by myself along with

6:52 Speaker 2: the full time corporate job, but I'm also investing into

6:55 Speaker 2: the recording software. Every month everything goes in dollars, right,

7:00 Speaker 2: And I invested in another you know podcast, you know,

7:04 Speaker 2: management tool yesterday. That's how I came to know about

7:07 Speaker 2: these new stats, and I realized, like, oh my gosh,

7:09 Speaker 2: there's so much to tap into this podcast, which I

7:12 Speaker 2: was not tapping into because I was not aware the

7:15 Speaker 2: depth of what this podcast was capable of. Because I

7:18 Speaker 2: was not aware of what was already happening with the podcast.

7:20 Speaker 2: You know, I was like, oh my gosh, I all

7:22 Speaker 2: I knew was it was tanking the charts. I didn't

7:24 Speaker 2: know that it was having such a global move happening

7:28 Speaker 2: in all of these things. And guys, I want you

7:30 Speaker 2: to understand, sometimes you don't know what God is up to.

7:34 Speaker 2: You may be saying God is not showing up in

7:36 Speaker 2: a certain area, maybe the way you want him to,

7:39 Speaker 2: maybe the kind of recognition you were hoping for, the

7:42 Speaker 2: kind of heade that you were looking forward to. But

7:44 Speaker 2: maybe the Lord is actually showing up in a different way.

7:47 Speaker 2: But you're not looking at it. You're not You're blinded

7:50 Speaker 2: from seeing that. And today I pray that this will

7:52 Speaker 2: be a wake up call for you. Like this man,

7:55 Speaker 2: he was getting the miracle from the heeler himself, but

7:59 Speaker 2: he was almost seeing it because he didn't even recognize

8:02 Speaker 2: Jesus the souls who was standing by him.

8:04 Speaker 3: Let us not be like that.

8:05 Speaker 2: There is be people who will realize that, you know what,

8:09 Speaker 2: maybe just maybe I don't see it, But the Lord

8:11 Speaker 2: is up to something. Lord show me areas, show me

8:15 Speaker 2: the thing, give you the you know, like, if I'm

8:17 Speaker 2: looking in the different direction, I'm about to miss a moment.

8:21 Speaker 2: Help me to turn my head at the right moment,

8:23 Speaker 2: help me to look at the right direction, help me

8:25 Speaker 2: to look at things in the right way, help me

8:27 Speaker 2: to have your perspective over the situation.

8:29 Speaker 3: And I'm telling you, when you do that, things will

8:31 Speaker 3: change in your life. Amen.
