IS IT A REAL PROBLEM OR JUST A THREAT? ๐ก๏ธ๐๏ธ | Elijah & Mental Health (Part 1) | John Giftah
Tonight's Episode
In this opening episode of our special series on Elijah and Mental Health, we dive into 1 Kings 19 to uncover a life-changing truth about fear, anxiety, and the enemy's tactics. ๐๏ธโจMany of us are losing sleep and living in panic not because of an actual problem, but because of a "Threat" from the enemy. John Giftah shares a powerful revelation: If Jezebel really had the power to kill Elijah, she wouldn't have sent a messenger to warn himโshe would have just done it! ๐ก๏ธ
In this episode, we explore:
The "Message" of Fear: Why the enemy warns you before he "attacks."
Discernment in Mental Health: How to tell if you're facing a real crisis or a demonic threat.
The Danger of Over-Analyzing: John shares a personal story of a medical "Misdiagnosis" and how over-thinking can drive your life into panic.
Your Supernatural Protection: Why the enemy has no ultimate power over someone blessed by GOD.
Stop allowing the empty threats of the enemy to drive your life. JESUS has the final say over your future, and He has called you to live in peace, not panic. ๐
STAY TUNED: We are sharing practical lessons from the life of Elijah every day this week, leading up to a special mental health interview with Rini Jacob (Host of The Hope Frequently Podcast) this Saturday! ๐ก๏ธ๐๏ธ

Speaker 1: Do you ever look around and think, Wow, the world
Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.
Speaker 1: This is Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. We're
Speaker 1: a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living,
Speaker 1: and Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is

Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with jo On Gifta podcast. All through this week,
Speaker 2: we're going to look at various lessons that we can
Speaker 2: take away from the life of Philita in One King
Speaker 2: Stepte nineteen and a lot revolving our around our lifestyle
Speaker 2: so that we can have a good mental health. In fact,
Speaker 2: I just did a recording with Rennie Jacob where we
Speaker 2: did a deep dive about mental health and how we
Speaker 2: can live that kind of life God wants us to live.
Speaker 2: Stay tuned for it. It's going to come out. It's
Speaker 2: going to be a great blessing for you. But this
Speaker 2: is going to help you with regard to your mind,
Speaker 2: with regard to your life, so that you can actually
Speaker 2: fulfill the purpose that God has in store for you
Speaker 2: as well. See. First thing I want you to understand
Speaker 2: is that I'm not going to focus too much on
Speaker 2: the specifics about what is mental health, because I want
Speaker 2: you to stay tuned for that special episode Paper Sword
Speaker 2: coming up. But I want to start off by talking
Speaker 2: to you from this verse, which says that now, heyh
Speaker 2: told Jeesebel all that Elijah had done, and how he
Speaker 2: had killed all the profits of bail with the sword,
Speaker 2: and listen to this carefully. Verse two. Then Jezebel sent
Speaker 2: a messenger to Elijah saying, so may the gods do
Speaker 2: to me even more this time tomorrow. I do not
Speaker 2: make your life like the life of one of them. Now,
Speaker 2: I want you to understand something here, Right, if you
Speaker 2: come across any thieves or robbers or somebody who's going
Speaker 2: to do something bad, what are they going to do?
Speaker 2: Are you going to get a knock at your door
Speaker 2: or a message or a call saying listen, we're gonna
Speaker 2: come and rob your house tonight. Are they going to
Speaker 2: do that? Or we're going to come and steal something
Speaker 2: from you tomorrow? Are they going to do that? No? Right,
Speaker 2: because they know if they send a message, you'll be prepared,
Speaker 2: you'll be cautious. What will they do If they really
Speaker 2: want to come and rob your house, They're going to
Speaker 2: do it without any attention, without any notice, just like
Speaker 2: that when you're least expecting. See, I want you to
Speaker 2: understand when Jesubel is saying to Elijah that you know what,
Speaker 2: I'm going to kill you by tomorrow, listen to this careful,
Speaker 2: like it's meaningless. If she really wanted to kill him,
Speaker 2: she should have first sent someone to directly kill him,
Speaker 2: not send a messenger saying I'm gonna kill you. Like,
Speaker 2: are you getting my point here? Right? See? Here's the thing.
Speaker 2: I wanted to understand that what Elijah got scared. The
Speaker 2: Bible says that Elijah was so scared that he rose
Speaker 2: and ran for his life. Okay, we're gonna look at
Speaker 2: various aspects in the days to come, but he was
Speaker 2: so scared when this queen Jezebel is saying, I'm going
Speaker 2: to kill you. But I wanted to think about this.
Speaker 2: If Jezebel really meant to kill him, she should have
Speaker 2: directly killed him instead of sending a messenger saying I'm
Speaker 2: gonna kill him. Are you getting what I'm saying? See,
Speaker 2: what Elijah got scared of was not an actual problem.
Speaker 2: It was only a threat. See a lot of us today.
Speaker 2: The reason why we are in that fear, in that anxiety,
Speaker 2: in that worry, in that place of uncertainty, is not
Speaker 2: because our problems are actually there. It's because we are
Speaker 2: just living in the fear of the possibility of something happening,
Speaker 2: just the threat of something going to happen, the threat
Speaker 2: that might happen in your life that is causing you
Speaker 2: to lose your sleep today, I want you to introspect
Speaker 2: the thing that is causing you to lose your sleep,
Speaker 2: the thing that's causing you to be worried, the thing
Speaker 2: that's causing you to be anxious, the thing that is
Speaker 2: causing you to be in a place of constantly running
Speaker 2: with fear and panic, is probably not a real problem
Speaker 2: at all. It's only a threat of the enemy. You're saying,
Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, this symptom makes me think maybe it
Speaker 2: could mean something else, and I'm going to die. Maybe
Speaker 2: this particular problem is going to cause me to lose
Speaker 2: my job, Maybe this particular issue is going to bring
Speaker 2: a rupture to my relationship. The the thing is not
Speaker 2: the actual problem. The real problem is you just getting
Speaker 2: scared of a threat of the enemy. Today, I pray
Speaker 2: in Jesus name that you will be in a position
Speaker 2: where God gives you that discernment to discern when it
Speaker 2: is just a threat and not a real problem. It
Speaker 2: was not a real problem. It was a threat because
Speaker 2: if it was a real problem, Jezebel would have sent
Speaker 2: someone to kill Elijah immediately. But the fact that she
Speaker 2: could not do that because the enemy has no power
Speaker 2: of your life, over your life. The enemy has no
Speaker 2: power over your life. He can give you threats, he
Speaker 2: can try to scare you, he can try to do
Speaker 2: things to make you get discouraged and get scared and
Speaker 2: to quit and give up and run away, but he
Speaker 2: has no power over you. In fact, when you look
Speaker 2: at number twenty to twenty three, there's a moment where
Speaker 2: evil King wanted this prophet to and curse the people
Speaker 2: of God, the nation of Israel. And you know what,
Speaker 2: every time he tried, he just could not. He wanted
Speaker 2: to curse them, but he just could not. He said,
Speaker 2: how can I curse these people who have been blessed
Speaker 2: by the Lord. See, when God has blessed you, when
Speaker 2: God has called you, when God has chosen you, when
Speaker 2: God has created you for such a time as this,
Speaker 2: and when you're walking in accordance to the plan and
Speaker 2: purpose and will of God. Over your life, I'm here
Speaker 2: to announce to you. The enemy can come and threaten you.
Speaker 2: The enemy can come and give fear, and he can
Speaker 2: try to bring in some uncertainty and some troubles here
Speaker 2: and there, but he has no ultimate call call over
Speaker 2: your life. He has no say over your life. He
Speaker 2: doesn't have the power over your life. So today, when
Speaker 2: you hear something, when you are in the place of fear,
Speaker 2: I wanted to is this a real problem or is
Speaker 2: it just a threat that I should just ignore? Is
Speaker 2: this a real issue or should I just leave this
Speaker 2: and move on. I just want to close to this example.
Speaker 2: Right many many years ago, I think this was almost
Speaker 2: like eight years back. I was admitted in the hospital
Speaker 2: for some infection. And when I was completely fine and
Speaker 2: I was getting discharged, they had said that I had
Speaker 2: certain conditions that I need to come back and check
Speaker 2: after a week or two. And so when I went
Speaker 2: back back in the day, we didn't have CHATCHIBT and
Speaker 2: all of that. It was just Google. I googled about
Speaker 2: this particular condition, and what it said was this condition,
Speaker 2: you can never cure it. You have to live with
Speaker 2: it to the rest of your life. And these are
Speaker 2: the best ways how to make sure that you can
Speaker 2: live with it effectively. This is what it said. So
Speaker 2: the next time I had to go and meet with
Speaker 2: the doctor that I was prepared to say, see, I
Speaker 2: study about this condition and this is how I'm planning
Speaker 2: to live my life, you know, to be prepared. So
Speaker 2: I thought the doctor will actually appreciate me, saying, oh,
Speaker 2: you are taking things in a proactive manner and all
Speaker 2: of that stuff. So I go and meet with a doctor.
Speaker 2: He checks on me. When I tell him all this,
Speaker 2: he just gets baffled and he says, you know what,
Speaker 2: you didn't have to overanalyze this problem, man, And I
Speaker 2: was like, sure, what did it mean. Come to find out,
Speaker 2: it was actually a misdiagnosis. It was not even that
Speaker 2: particular issue. It was just another serious infection which got
Speaker 2: cured so I was thinking and planning and analyzing, you know,
Speaker 2: how to live my life with this condition for the
Speaker 2: rest of my life. Where the doctor said it was
Speaker 2: just a misanaly, it was just a misdiagnosis. It was
Speaker 2: just see, just the thing that was not even the
Speaker 2: reality of my life. I started analyzing so much, I
Speaker 2: started thinking so much, I started planning so much. I started,
Speaker 2: you know, allowing it to drive my life. See, that
Speaker 2: is what I'm trying to tell you. Before Elijah's life,
Speaker 2: even though Elijah has seen the part of God in
Speaker 2: amazing ways, Here's the thing about Elijah, he was even
Speaker 2: before his life was actually in danger by Jezebel, just
Speaker 2: that threat made him go into that deep analysis, the
Speaker 2: deep fear, the deep panic ward. But today I challenge
Speaker 2: each one of you understand that it's only a threat
Speaker 2: that you can let go of and move on and
Speaker 2: God will lead you and take care of you. I
Speaker 2: really challenge you to leave a comment and share this
Speaker 2: with someone. I will catch up with you very soon.
Speaker 2: God bless you.
