0:48 Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. But I quickly want

0:50 Speaker 2: to share a scripture with you, and I want to

0:52 Speaker 2: take this forward. Okay, it is found in Geutonomy chapter eight. Okay,

0:57 Speaker 2: this is what the Lord is giving the Physrael said

1:01 Speaker 2: they're about into the Promised Land, and this is what

1:04 Speaker 2: he is saying. If you look at verse leven, he says,

1:06 Speaker 2: be careful that you do not forget the Lord, your God. Okay,

1:11 Speaker 2: he's actually saying in verse ten, when you have eaten

1:13 Speaker 2: and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the

1:17 Speaker 2: land that he has given you. So when you're about

1:19 Speaker 2: into the Promised Land, and when you are actually started

1:21 Speaker 2: living in that promised land, he's saying, be careful that

1:25 Speaker 2: you do not forget the Lord your God. Even a

1:28 Speaker 2: couple of verses down again goes down to say this

1:31 Speaker 2: that then when your herds and your flocks grow large,

1:36 Speaker 2: and your silver and your gold increases, and all that

1:38 Speaker 2: you have multiplied, then your heart will become so proud

1:42 Speaker 2: and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought

1:44 Speaker 2: you out of Egypt and out of the land of slavery.

1:48 Speaker 2: He led you through all of these things. So the

1:51 Speaker 2: Lord is saying this as a word of caution, and

1:53 Speaker 2: he's telling them, you know, listen, I'm the one who

1:56 Speaker 2: led you in the past. I'm the one who directed

1:58 Speaker 2: yourselfs I'm the one who took care of you. I

2:00 Speaker 2: met your needs even when you were going through the wilderness,

2:04 Speaker 2: even when you were walking towards the promised land. Listen,

2:07 Speaker 2: I did not leave you, not for sake. I took

2:09 Speaker 2: care of you. If you see in verse two, he says,

2:13 Speaker 2: remember how the Lord your God led you all the

2:15 Speaker 2: way in the wilderness these forty years to humble and

2:18 Speaker 2: to test you, in order to check what is in

2:20 Speaker 2: your heart whether or not you would keep his commandments.

2:23 Speaker 2: He humbled you, causing you to hunger, and then feeding

2:27 Speaker 2: you in manna, which neither knew you or your ancestors,

2:31 Speaker 2: and known to teach that man shall not live by

2:34 Speaker 2: bread alone, but on every word that comes from the

2:36 Speaker 2: mount of God. And he goes on to say, your

2:38 Speaker 2: clothes do not wear out, your feet did not swell

2:41 Speaker 2: during these forty years. And you know, like so as

2:45 Speaker 2: a man disciplines his son, the Lord has disciplined you.

2:49 Speaker 2: So what God is saying here is that listen, I

2:51 Speaker 2: took care of you. I met your needs. I was

2:55 Speaker 2: there for you even when you went through your tough times.

2:58 Speaker 2: But remember when you're about to enter your promise land.

3:01 Speaker 2: Remember when you get into the promise land, when you're

3:03 Speaker 2: walking in that promise land, when you are actually growing

3:06 Speaker 2: in that promise land, becoming prosperous, succeeding, and you know,

3:10 Speaker 2: becoming mighty, and all of these things. In all of

3:12 Speaker 2: those things, do not forget the Lord, your God. This

3:18 Speaker 2: is a word to some of your in your life.

3:20 Speaker 2: If you are in a place where you're saying, you

3:22 Speaker 2: know what, I'm walking in my promise land, I'm in this.

3:27 Speaker 2: It's so good in that moment. Don't forget the Lord

3:30 Speaker 2: your God. I'm telling you, honestly, I think you guys

3:33 Speaker 2: know this that apart from the podcast, I have YouTube channel.

3:53 Speaker 2: The podcast is trending across the globe, but likewise, I've

3:55 Speaker 2: been praying on the videos to grow and all of

3:57 Speaker 2: these things, and recently one of my videos on Instagram,

4:03 Speaker 2: especially on the joke page. Listen on Instagram, I have

4:06 Speaker 2: multiple pages. I have the main page, I have a

4:08 Speaker 2: page dedicated for ministry content. I have another page for

4:12 Speaker 2: Scooby Doo related Scooby Doo pasta, you know, preaching through

4:16 Speaker 2: Scooby Doo content, and another that's called the Scooby Doo

4:19 Speaker 2: Pasta page. And the other page is for my jokes okay,

4:23 Speaker 2: where I also bring out messages through comedy and jokes.

4:26 Speaker 2: So on this page, one of the videos that I

4:29 Speaker 2: had recently posted, you know, acrossed over one hundred thousand

4:32 Speaker 2: views within less than two days. I was so excited,

4:35 Speaker 2: and I was like, Oh my gosh, this has never

4:37 Speaker 2: happened before. I was so excited. I was so excited,

4:39 Speaker 2: refreshing to see the new comments, the new you know, analytics,

4:44 Speaker 2: and the number of views and all of that. I

4:45 Speaker 2: was so excited that at one point I was like,

4:49 Speaker 2: the Lord was pricking me and saying, listen, listen, this

4:51 Speaker 2: is the promised land you were hoping for, right Are

4:55 Speaker 2: you so caught up with it that you forget me?

4:57 Speaker 1: You know?

4:58 Speaker 2: It was like an interaction between me and and I

5:00 Speaker 2: was like, God, yes, yes, I don't want to forget you.

5:04 Speaker 2: Because even in the midst of this, I constantly kept

5:06 Speaker 2: on praying. Speaking a tongues, I was like, Lord, thank

5:09 Speaker 2: you for this view, thank you for this. I've been

5:11 Speaker 2: working so hard for so many years. Thank you for this.

5:14 Speaker 2: And at the same time, I said, you know, I

5:16 Speaker 2: put that analytic things off and I started worshiping the Lord.

5:20 Speaker 2: I said, God, you know what, apart from you, I

5:22 Speaker 2: can do nothing. I don't want to forget you just

5:25 Speaker 2: because a video goes viral. You know what I mean

5:28 Speaker 2: in the sense that's a practical thing. I want to

5:30 Speaker 2: challenge you. For you, it may not be about a

5:33 Speaker 2: video going viral. It may be about you getting so

5:36 Speaker 2: caught up with that new relationship, or you're so excited

5:39 Speaker 2: about the new person God brought into your life, or

5:41 Speaker 2: you're so caught up with that new work that you're

5:44 Speaker 2: forgetting God. That's a big no no. Listen, some of

5:47 Speaker 2: you know this. I recently got a new job and

5:50 Speaker 2: I'm so excited, like Wow, after a long time, the

5:53 Speaker 2: Lord opened an amazing door. And I'm one of my

5:56 Speaker 2: prayers constantly is God, I need to put my best

5:58 Speaker 2: in this work. I need to the spirit of excellence

6:01 Speaker 2: and go the extra mile. But this job should never

6:05 Speaker 2: never take your place. It should not choke my calling.

6:08 Speaker 2: You should be in the center of it. And I'm

6:10 Speaker 2: telling you that is a conscious decision. I'm making every

6:13 Speaker 2: step along the way, whether at work, whether in the ministry,

6:17 Speaker 2: whether you're on videos, whether in my life. I'm constantly

6:20 Speaker 2: remembering the Lord, and I'm saying, God, help me not

6:23 Speaker 2: to forget you, help me to be conscious of You.

6:25 Speaker 2: And that's why This was was constantly ringing in my

6:28 Speaker 2: heart that you know what, when the Lord takes you

6:30 Speaker 2: to your promised land, do not forget the Lord your God.

6:33 Speaker 2: Today I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that

6:35 Speaker 2: when you step into your promised land, when the Lord

6:38 Speaker 2: is about who opened the doors that you've been praying about,

6:40 Speaker 2: dreaming about the connections, the relationships that you've been waiting for.

6:44 Speaker 2: When the Lord is going to make that video go viral,

6:46 Speaker 2: or when the Lord is going to make your book

6:48 Speaker 2: become a bestseller. Now the Lord is going to make

6:50 Speaker 2: your business flourish. Do not forget the Lord your God.

6:54 Speaker 2: That's my challenge. The same chapter, the same passage. I'm

6:57 Speaker 2: going to talk a couple of other things. I believe

6:59 Speaker 2: it's so important. I want to share about it in

7:01 Speaker 2: the next episode, But for now, I really recommend that

7:04 Speaker 2: you would you keep this in the center of your

7:07 Speaker 2: heart so that your heart is aligned in the right way,

7:10 Speaker 2: so that the Lord is You've.
