Titanic Lesson: Don’t Rush What GOD Wants to Do Little by Little | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
The Titanic was designed to be a marvel of engineering, but it was also driven by one ambition — speed. There was pressure to arrive quickly, to make a name, to prove something. But that rush contributed to one of history’s greatest disasters.
In the Bible, GOD reveals a very different principle.
In Exodus 23:30, He says:
“Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.”
GOD does not work through rushed outcomes or instant success. He works through process, growth, and timing.
In this episode, John Giftah shares how rushing into things prematurely can lead to unnecessary damage, while trusting GOD’s process leads to lasting results.
If you’ve been feeling like things are moving too slowly in your life, this message will remind you that GOD’s pace is intentional.

Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John GIFTA.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, It's such a joy for me to join
Speaker 2: you on this segment of the Fuel for the Soul
Speaker 2: with John Gifta podcast, today being fourteenth of April. As
Speaker 2: a Titanic fan, today is today the Titanic sank nineteen twelve,
Speaker 2: and I have done a lot of c and sessions
Speaker 2: and learned a lot of things that we can inculcate
Speaker 2: in our everyday life based out of the Titanic. And
Speaker 2: today there is something that I just thought I would
Speaker 2: share with you guys, because in line with the world
Speaker 2: that we're living in, like if you were listening to
Speaker 2: my podcast sermon yesterday, I told you that despite the
Speaker 2: fact that the crippled men in both John chapter five
Speaker 2: as well as in ectp to three, they had to
Speaker 2: wait for a long period of time almost thirty eight
Speaker 2: years in one case and forty years almost four decades
Speaker 2: in both the cases. And despite the fact that it
Speaker 2: looked like this is how their situation would be, got
Speaker 2: showed up and turned the situation around. The thing is this,
Speaker 2: I shared the importance of waiting for that divine moment
Speaker 2: when God will actually do the miracle right because we're
Speaker 2: living in a time and age we want everything, and
Speaker 2: we want it fast, we want it now, we want
Speaker 2: it instantaneously because you have everything in the click of
Speaker 2: a button. Oh you know what I feel like. I
Speaker 2: want to order something online. I want to go it
Speaker 2: on Amazon and order something. I want to do it
Speaker 2: right away. Oh I see this nice dress I see
Speaker 2: on our website that comes on my socials. I just
Speaker 2: want to order it. I don't think about money, I
Speaker 2: don't think about anything. Just go ahead and you know,
Speaker 2: get this stuff done. But yes, the thing, See, there's
Speaker 2: a place where you should not be stingy. You should
Speaker 2: learn to live your life as well. Right, But at
Speaker 2: the same time, you should learn to be in a
Speaker 2: place where you are patient. You learn things by being patient,
Speaker 2: you know, you're not impulsive, because that's something that's so
Speaker 2: much lacking in today's generation because instant coffee, instant money,
Speaker 2: instant this, instant that, instant results. So that's the reason
Speaker 2: when people don't get what they want immediately, they give up.
Speaker 2: They wait for a period of time, and then they
Speaker 2: give up. I was sharing this with you guys recently,
Speaker 2: how with you know, with last month and this month.
Speaker 2: You know, ever since the recording and then the release date,
Speaker 2: It's been ten years since I started going to a
Speaker 2: studio and recording eigh quality videos for you you consistently.
Speaker 2: I've been consistent, consistent on YouTube for the past ten
Speaker 2: years with over one thousand, six hundred videos over a
Speaker 2: period of time. And yes, to thing, most people in
Speaker 2: my position would have given up for the kind of
Speaker 2: results I've seen on YouTube in the last ten years,
Speaker 2: to be honest, right, But the thing is this, in
Speaker 2: the generation like today, people say, you know, what you've
Speaker 2: been doing for ten years and this is the result.
Speaker 2: What makes it keep going? You know, despite the fact
Speaker 2: that you've been putting things for a long time. See,
Speaker 2: I want you to understand something here. There's a very
Speaker 2: important principle to learn. Okay. See, when you think about
Speaker 2: that Titanic, Titanic had certain strengths, like it was the
Speaker 2: most luxurious ship in the world of that time. It
Speaker 2: was having the latest technology. It had so many things
Speaker 2: that were like not seen anywhere else. The latest technology
Speaker 2: that made it called the unsinkable because of the watertight
Speaker 2: compartment doors that they had. The Titanic was, you know,
Speaker 2: like by far the biggest object ever made by man
Speaker 2: in history during that period of time. But yes, the
Speaker 2: thing I wanted to understand, the Titanic strength was not
Speaker 2: speed speed being the strength was for other ships. There
Speaker 2: were ships that would go faster than the Titanic. They
Speaker 2: could go at thirty knots forty knots, whereas the Titanic's
Speaker 2: maximum speed was twenty one knots or twenty two knots
Speaker 2: if you push it to the fullest. Here's the thing,
Speaker 2: you know, if you even you see in the movie,
Speaker 2: there's a moment where the owner of the ship Bruis
Speaker 2: is made is que saying the captain Edward John Smith
Speaker 2: saying speed up, speed up, because we want to rush
Speaker 2: and reach a destination fast. You know. See the captain
Speaker 2: actually says, no, I don't want to push the limits
Speaker 2: or the engine too fast. I wanted to just slowly
Speaker 2: get used to things. But he was firsteing him, saying
Speaker 2: go ahead. See this was the mistake, right. They were
Speaker 2: rushing at the time when they had several warnings, six
Speaker 2: warnings on the April to fourteenth saying slow down, slow down,
Speaker 2: iceberg ahead. They were rushing through the ice fields because
Speaker 2: they wanted to get the name that they were also quick,
Speaker 2: because they already had name for other things the unsinkable,
Speaker 2: the technology, and all of those things. But they wanted
Speaker 2: to get the name for speed. What happened, It sank
Speaker 2: and hit the headlines for the wrong reason. Right, here's
Speaker 2: the thing I wanted to understand. There's a verse I
Speaker 2: want to share, and I want to help you understand
Speaker 2: the message that I want to drive to. It is
Speaker 2: mentioned in Exodus twenty three, verse thirty. Okay, the Lord
Speaker 2: is speaking to them, and this is what it says.
Speaker 2: I'm reading to you from the NIV version. First, it says,
Speaker 2: little by little, I will drive them out before you
Speaker 2: until you're increased enough to take possession of the land.
Speaker 2: If you see, even in the other version, like Enalty,
Speaker 2: it says I will drive them out a little at
Speaker 2: a time, a little at a time, little by little.
Speaker 2: I wanted to get this. See, God could have helped
Speaker 2: them conquer the full Promise land in one go. Right. Yes,
Speaker 2: God he is almighty, But he says I will help
Speaker 2: you possess a land little by little. It's not going
Speaker 2: to happen in a in an instant, right. It's a
Speaker 2: little by little process by which you possess the land.
Speaker 2: It's a little by little process by which you put
Speaker 2: an end to the schemes of the enemy and you
Speaker 2: conquer and you come out with thorious. See, I'm telling
Speaker 2: you honestly, when I started out the ministry fourteen years ago,
Speaker 2: or the YouTube ten years ago, or all the different
Speaker 2: avenues through which a minister, I'm telling you, I didn't.
Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, I want to get
Speaker 2: into the fullness. I want to be like you know,
Speaker 2: traveling and ministering and doing this, doing that, doing this,
Speaker 2: doing that. But can I tell you something, The process
Speaker 2: through which God takes you is little by little. You know, why,
Speaker 2: Because I've seen a lot of people in an instant.
Speaker 2: They just grow in an instant overnight success. You know
Speaker 2: when you say that, sometimes just one thing goes viral
Speaker 2: right in the beginning, and they just you know, I'm
Speaker 2: not able to handle this success. They're not able to
Speaker 2: handle how to be the light in the darkness. At
Speaker 2: that point, they're just thrown apart. They're not ready for that.
Speaker 2: And God prepares you for that moment by you going
Speaker 2: and conquering little by little. Maybe it may not be
Speaker 2: virality for you. It may not be impact in terms
Speaker 2: of the ministry for you. Maybe it could be your business.
Speaker 2: It could be a relationship. It could be you advancing
Speaker 2: in your career. It could be you taking a step
Speaker 2: towards your God you and calling out whatever it is.
Speaker 2: I'm challenging you today to get to that place instead
Speaker 2: of being in a place where you're like, you know what,
Speaker 2: I want to rush and get my full position of
Speaker 2: the land. Why did you say, Lord, give me the
Speaker 2: grace to conquer the land little by little. Help me
Speaker 2: to go with the pace that you have set out
Speaker 2: for me. I don't want to be like the Titanic,
Speaker 2: you know, rushing ahead and missing the point and ending
Speaker 2: up sinking on my maiden voyage. I want to be
Speaker 2: someone who's making an impact. I want to be someone
Speaker 2: who's growing your roots deep and wide, so you know what,
Speaker 2: even through the storm, even through the icebergs that come
Speaker 2: your way, you'll be strong enough to face it out victorious.
Speaker 2: And I'm telling you honestly, I don't say this from
Speaker 2: a place of pride, but sometimes I've noticed this when
Speaker 2: I see people who just for example, I've been in
Speaker 2: ministry for the past fourteen years. I've been doing this, right,
Speaker 2: I've seen people who, you know, who were never in
Speaker 2: the Lord and then suddenly, you know, one moment they
Speaker 2: experienced something and then they were like, you know what,
Speaker 2: I'm going to start ministering for the Lord, and you know,
Speaker 2: their testimony is powerful, and immediately you know they get
Speaker 2: in the connections, the advance and everything all of that,
Speaker 2: and then you know, in one year they just grow
Speaker 2: like crazy, Whereas you've been putting in effort for the
Speaker 2: past fourteen years. And here's the thing. You know, maybe
Speaker 2: the Lord is using them the blood bless system great,
Speaker 2: But the thing is, sometimes when I listen to what
Speaker 2: they got to say, I realized Oh my gosh, there's
Speaker 2: no depth in what you're saying because you didn't have
Speaker 2: that time of pruning, the process that took me to
Speaker 2: bring the depth that is required in the message, the
Speaker 2: depth that is required in bringing understanding what people are
Speaker 2: going through in that moment and bringing the revelation from
Speaker 2: the world that will bring the difference in the life
Speaker 2: of people, impact on the loves of people. Because you
Speaker 2: see in a world that wants instant results, instant satisfaction,
Speaker 2: instant gratification, well they also forget the message, instant lying
Speaker 2: if there's no depth end it. So my challenge to you,
Speaker 2: guys is the simple truth. Guys. You know, let's learn
Speaker 2: from the Titanic and let's learn from our life. Let's
Speaker 2: learn from God's word. You know that the process involves
Speaker 2: God leading us little by little, not jumping into the
Speaker 2: fullness of it in one go. And be ready for that,
Speaker 2: because that's the process in which you'll grow deep and
Speaker 2: you'll come out victorious for the glory of God. Amen.
Speaker 2: God bless you.
