Walking in Love – Part 9: Love Is Patient With People’s Process | John Giftah | Christian Sermon
Tonight's Episode
In Part 9 of the Walking in Love series, we explore a powerful truth: Love is patient because people are still in process.Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are GOD’s workmanship — not finished products, but lives that GOD is still shaping. The Bible also reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13 that love is patient.
Sometimes we expect people to change quickly, grow faster, or respond the way we think they should. But real CHRIST-like love understands that spiritual growth is a journey.
This episode will help you:
• Extend grace to others
• Be patient with people’s growth journey
• Understand that GOD is still working in every life
If GOD is still working on us, we must learn to give others the same grace.

Speaker 1: Do you ever look around and think, Wow, the world
Speaker 1: is a crazy place and it just seems to get
Speaker 1: crazier and crazier. Ease your mind and take a break.
Speaker 1: This is Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta. We're
Speaker 1: a hub for inspirational Christian sermons, practical keys for Christian living,
Speaker 1: in Christian discussions and interviews. You'll be inspired to live
Speaker 1: the life that you were created for. Your host is
Speaker 1: a top ranking podcaster, best selling author, world record holder,
Speaker 1: aerospace engineer, life coach, evangelist, and founder of John Gifta International.
Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. And as you would
Speaker 2: have seen by the titles, that we're doing a series
Speaker 2: on how you and I can walk in love. Practically,
Speaker 2: we've been talking about how whether it's relationships in your work,
Speaker 2: placing as your college, your home, your famili's communities, churches, everywhere,
Speaker 2: you and I need to walk in that unconditional love.
Speaker 2: And one of the things that we struggle the most
Speaker 2: is when we expect people to perform in the level
Speaker 2: that we are in. We expect them to transform immediately.
Speaker 2: We want them to change ways or make amends quickly
Speaker 2: into their lifestyle, their habits, and we want them to
Speaker 2: change immediately and say, oh my gosh, this person are
Speaker 2: given up on them. There's no way this person is
Speaker 2: ever going to change because I appreached enough to them.
Speaker 2: They're not listening to what I've got to say. And
Speaker 2: we try to get into this place where we are
Speaker 2: on this hustle and hustle and we are giving up
Speaker 2: on people, saying there's no way out and writing them off.
Speaker 2: But I want you to understand something very important here today.
Speaker 2: One of the characteristics of walking in unconditional love is
Speaker 2: found in first Good and Sens thirteen vers. Four, which
Speaker 2: says that love is patient. If you are not patient
Speaker 2: with people, you will end up becoming a patient, or
Speaker 2: you'll make other people push patient. What may mean by
Speaker 2: that is this right. We expect people to get into
Speaker 2: the same rhythm, the same face. But I want you
Speaker 2: to understand everybody is not in the same pace. Everybody
Speaker 2: has not going through what you're going through. Everybody has
Speaker 2: a different journey or a different struggle, or different background
Speaker 2: or different belief system built into them. There have something
Speaker 2: up and we cannot expect them to get into the
Speaker 2: same quickness as you expect. Because I wanted to remember
Speaker 2: the apostle Paul said, I am what I am by
Speaker 2: the grace of God in the Book of Corinthians. See,
Speaker 2: if not for God's grace, you could be in the
Speaker 2: same pit that somebody else is in. You could be
Speaker 2: in the same change that they are, in the same
Speaker 2: thought processes there, in the same faith there in. So
Speaker 2: if you expect them to suddenly change and make amends
Speaker 2: just because you ap preach to them or because you've
Speaker 2: been telling them something suddenly, I want you to understand
Speaker 2: that you need to be in that place where you
Speaker 2: need to ask God for that patience, that patience. See
Speaker 2: when you look at the building that's being constructed, it
Speaker 2: looks very messy, it looks unfinished, It looks very crude
Speaker 2: and rough and tough. The paintings or the walls look terrible,
Speaker 2: and it's the place would not look livable. But you
Speaker 2: will not write it off just because it looks terrible.
Speaker 2: You will not write it off or make fun of it,
Speaker 2: or market it or give up on it. Or you
Speaker 2: will not love at a building that's been constructed because
Speaker 2: it's terrible, or it looks messy, it looks unfinished. You
Speaker 2: will say, John, you know what, Why because I'm looking
Speaker 2: for the building to get completed so that it will
Speaker 2: look perfect, the painting, the interior design, and the liverability
Speaker 2: and everything is going to look awesome. Why Because you
Speaker 2: look for the end product. You don't give up because
Speaker 2: the process looks messy. And I wanted to understand something
Speaker 2: very important. The Bible says in efficiency to Westend. It
Speaker 2: says that you and I, all of us, we're all
Speaker 2: God's workman should workmanship means work in progress. We're not
Speaker 2: finished products yet, we are in progress. You need to
Speaker 2: understand that the people that you think that are messy
Speaker 2: and given up and they're going in the wrong direction
Speaker 2: in life. They're making for choices. You are looking at
Speaker 2: them and writing them off where they are right now,
Speaker 2: but you have no idea what God is doing in
Speaker 2: their life. They have maybe a work in progress. Maybe
Speaker 2: if you continue to show that love, Maybe if you
Speaker 2: continue to walk in the ways of the Lord and
Speaker 2: be the light in the darkness for them, Maybe if
Speaker 2: you just continue to pray for them and wait for
Speaker 2: God to work behind the scenes, they will turn around.
Speaker 2: I want you to think about this. The people that
Speaker 2: you think are messy, maybe God's going to bring out
Speaker 2: a message of hope through them one day. So I
Speaker 2: don't want you to give up on people. I want
Speaker 2: you to be patient. You know, one of the things
Speaker 2: in my ministry brought we have a WhatsApp broadcast group
Speaker 2: where if you are interested, you can connect with me.
Speaker 2: I can add you to it. We have not just groups,
Speaker 2: I have multiple groups and podcast broadcasts on WhatsApp. And
Speaker 2: one of the initiatives we used to do in the
Speaker 2: ministry is pray for celebrities. Pray for people in influential positions, leaders,
Speaker 2: pop stars and you know or authors are for that matter.
Speaker 2: Even here it is and every day one one person.
Speaker 2: You used to pray for them and used to think
Speaker 2: about it under Some people used to say, you're wasting
Speaker 2: time praying for these people because they're not going to change.
Speaker 2: They're going to live in this mess. They have money,
Speaker 2: they don't need God, They're not going to change. You're
Speaker 2: wasting time. But some of those very people that I
Speaker 2: used to pray for are now using their platforms to
Speaker 2: talk about Jesus. I want you to understand something guys today.
Speaker 2: They won't ever write somebody off because you never know
Speaker 2: when God is going to encounter them. God is working
Speaker 2: in them. Be patient with them, Be patient with him,
Speaker 2: because if God is patient with you, shouldn't you be
Speaker 2: patient with them. Understanding that they're in a progress. They're
Speaker 2: in a process. They may not quickly turn around like
Speaker 2: the way you expect. That's okay. Be patient today. If
Speaker 2: there's one thing that you need to pray for is
Speaker 2: ask God for more patience to help people as they
Speaker 2: are in that journey, because you never know how God
Speaker 2: is speaking to them. One seed, one element of love,
Speaker 2: one word from the Lord, something somewhere, so many encounters.
Speaker 2: I recently interviewed pastor John Burke. You can check that
Speaker 2: podcast episode or you can check it out on YouTube.
Speaker 2: And I recently interviewed him, and how I came to
Speaker 2: know about him was when he was interviewed on Sean
Speaker 2: Ryan's show. Sean Ryan was apparently an atheist, and the
Speaker 2: Lord encountered him. And now he's using that platform to
Speaker 2: talk about Jesus and tell others, other people like Megan
Speaker 2: Kelly and all of them about Jesus. And it's amazing
Speaker 2: because I was able to get connected with Pastor John
Speaker 2: Burke through them, Like, think about this Sean Rayan, someone
Speaker 2: written off an atheist, but God used them to connect
Speaker 2: me with person John Burke because of a mutual I
Speaker 2: wanted to think about this guy's You know, God can
Speaker 2: do wonders and God wants to do one us. Another
Speaker 2: example I want to leave with is sometimes we just
Speaker 2: write people out because of where they are in life
Speaker 2: right now. But I wanted to look at and ask
Speaker 2: God to show you how or where they're going to
Speaker 2: become what they're going to become in life. We may
Speaker 2: look at Peter and say, this guy is so rugged.
Speaker 2: Look at the Disciples of Jesus. They were all like
Speaker 2: so crude and rugged, and you know there's some like
Speaker 2: teams like Judas and all of these people. Jesus did
Speaker 2: not look at Peter for the mess he was making.
Speaker 2: He looked at him for what you could become, given
Speaker 2: into the hands of the Holy Spirit. And that's what
Speaker 2: I challenge you to be. Go to that place where
Speaker 2: you ask God to show you people for who God
Speaker 2: made them to be, for what they could pick out.
Speaker 2: And I'm going to close with this example. In my life,
Speaker 2: I did this collaboration. You can check it out on
Speaker 2: YouTube with Senchetta Michael and right now, I think we
Speaker 2: both have similar kind of followers, like around nineteen k
Speaker 2: plus almost twenty k followers on Instagram. But I connected
Speaker 2: with her Mini Mini maybe years back, four years back
Speaker 2: or something when she had less than one k followers
Speaker 2: and I but of course we couldn't connect because of
Speaker 2: some reason. But yes, the thing she told me when
Speaker 2: we connected, she said, John, at a time when most
Speaker 2: people wrote me off, they didn't see the value in me,
Speaker 2: you found the value in me. How come? And I
Speaker 2: want to tell you what I'm telling you, Like, that's
Speaker 2: one of the things that have been in my heart
Speaker 2: that God helped me to see the golden people even
Speaker 2: when nobody else is, even when they don't see it
Speaker 2: in themselves. And let us be people like that, not
Speaker 2: judging them or writing them off of where the mess
Speaker 2: they are in right now, for how crude they are
Speaker 2: right now, but be patient with them knowing that God
Speaker 2: has put gold in them, and look at them for
Speaker 2: where they're going to go. They're becoming masterpieces for His kingdom. Emmen,
Speaker 2: God bless you.
