1:03 Speaker 2: so much to unpack and so much to learn. Yes,

1:05 Speaker 2: the thing I want you to understand, to give you

1:07 Speaker 2: context of what the situation is about, is that King

1:10 Speaker 2: Herod has just arrested Peter, all right, he has just

1:13 Speaker 2: arrested Apostle Peter, and he wants to kill the Apostle Peter,

1:18 Speaker 2: just like he just killed Apostle James. And he's the

1:20 Speaker 2: thing I wanted to understand. The verse five says that

1:24 Speaker 2: church prayed very earnestly for Peter. The church prayed very

1:29 Speaker 2: earnestly for Peter. Now here's the thing I wanted to understand. Right,

1:33 Speaker 2: the Church did not pray for James's resurrection, but they

1:38 Speaker 2: prayed for Peter's release. Have you ever thought about this?

1:41 Speaker 2: Because the resurrection was still part of the Acts, because

1:45 Speaker 2: it still happens even today, guys, in case you're not aware,

1:49 Speaker 2: in not just in the charismatic circles, but resurrection of

1:52 Speaker 2: the death happens even today. But here's the thing. Resurrection

1:55 Speaker 2: was still part of the Book of Acts, right, even

1:58 Speaker 2: the Apostle Paul was able to resurrect a dead boy.

2:01 Speaker 2: So resurrection is still part of this. And here's the

2:04 Speaker 2: thing I wanted to understand. The Church do not pray

2:07 Speaker 2: for James's resurrection, but they prayed for Peter's release. Have

2:12 Speaker 2: you ever thought about why? Here's the thing This is

2:15 Speaker 2: a very important lesson for us to learn right. The

2:18 Speaker 2: lesson is how to differentiate between a contented door and

2:23 Speaker 2: a closed door, because if you do not know this,

2:26 Speaker 2: you will always struggle. You will not know which one

2:29 Speaker 2: to fight for, which one to move on knowing it's

2:32 Speaker 2: a closed door. Because if you do not know that,

2:34 Speaker 2: you will always struggle. And that is what you need

2:37 Speaker 2: to understand. How did the church know that the apostle

2:40 Speaker 2: James was a closed door? How did the church know

2:43 Speaker 2: that the apostle Peter was a contented door that they

2:46 Speaker 2: need to pray for earnestly and not think that it's

2:49 Speaker 2: also a closed door. Very simple when you look at

2:54 Speaker 2: the gospel, according to John chapter twenty one, when you

2:57 Speaker 2: look at verses eighteen to nineteen, that's a moment when

3:00 Speaker 2: Jesus is talking to the apostle Peter, and this is

3:03 Speaker 2: what Jesus is telling him, all right, He says, truly,

3:06 Speaker 2: I tell you, when you are younger, you dress yourself

3:09 Speaker 2: and when where you want it. But when you are old,

3:12 Speaker 2: you will stretch out your hands and someone else will

3:15 Speaker 2: dress you and lead you to where you do not

3:18 Speaker 2: want to go. And verse nineteen says this, okay, power

3:21 Speaker 2: for Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death

3:23 Speaker 2: by which Peter would glorify God. Now listen to it. Scafley,

3:27 Speaker 2: I want you to highlight the word where Jesus spoke

3:29 Speaker 2: to Peter and said, when you are old, you will

3:33 Speaker 2: stretch out your hands and someone will else will dress

3:37 Speaker 2: you and lead you to places you don't want to go.

3:39 Speaker 2: So Jesus was saying to Peter, you will be dying

3:42 Speaker 2: as an old man. So there was a divine word,

3:45 Speaker 2: a word of promise, a word from the Lord saying

3:48 Speaker 2: that Peter would not die now, but he would die

3:51 Speaker 2: as an old man. See. I want you to understand.

3:53 Speaker 2: The key to differentiate between a closed door and a

3:56 Speaker 2: contented door is to get to the place where you're

4:00 Speaker 2: so intimate in your walk with the Lord, when you

4:02 Speaker 2: are so close to the Lord, when you can hear

4:04 Speaker 2: the voice of God, when you are able to discern

4:08 Speaker 2: the wine counsel, then you will know that this was

4:12 Speaker 2: a closed door. James is a close door. I don't

4:15 Speaker 2: know who needs to hear that. Some of you are

4:17 Speaker 2: still trying to fight for those which God has closed.

4:20 Speaker 2: Stop expecting your James to raise back to life. Change

4:24 Speaker 2: is a closed door. At the same time, some of you,

4:27 Speaker 2: I've given up on doors that God wants you to

4:29 Speaker 2: fight for. Oh Peter, he's also gone in the same

4:34 Speaker 2: direction as James. No, God is asking you today to

4:38 Speaker 2: understand that this is not a close door. This is

4:40 Speaker 2: a contented door that you need to fight for, but

4:43 Speaker 2: prayer by taking authority. So today my challenge is the

4:49 Speaker 2: same way the Church operated from a place where they

4:52 Speaker 2: knew the difference between a closed door and a contented

4:54 Speaker 2: door because they were in sync with what the Lord

4:58 Speaker 2: was doing, what the Lord has, and what the Lord

5:01 Speaker 2: was showing. Today, I pray in every area of your life,

5:04 Speaker 2: the Lord will show you you know what this relationship

5:07 Speaker 2: is a closed door, move on from it. This particular

5:10 Speaker 2: opportunity is a contented door. Fight for it. The Lord

5:13 Speaker 2: is reminding you. So when you operate in sync with that,

5:17 Speaker 2: that's when you will see the hand of God leading

5:21 Speaker 2: you through the best part for your life. I really
