1:12 Speaker 2: to understand is that a lot of times when we

1:15 Speaker 2: look at life, what we do is we look at

1:17 Speaker 2: what happened to somebody else and say, if this happened

1:20 Speaker 2: to them, it might happen to me as well. If

1:22 Speaker 2: this person lost their life because of this kind of

1:25 Speaker 2: an incident, I'm also going to lose my life. If

1:29 Speaker 2: this person lost their life because of this sickness, I'm

1:32 Speaker 2: also going to lose my life. If this person struggled

1:35 Speaker 2: to get a job, I'm also going to struggle to

1:37 Speaker 2: get a job. If I'm going to be in this

1:39 Speaker 2: place where everybody else is suffering in the same kind

1:43 Speaker 2: of a financial state of life, I'm also going to

1:47 Speaker 2: have the same Can I tell you something. A lot

1:49 Speaker 2: of times we look at what happened to somebody else

1:51 Speaker 2: and we think that is the standard for our life.

1:54 Speaker 2: We think that God is going to you know what,

1:57 Speaker 2: this is your lot in life, this is what is

2:00 Speaker 2: happening for everybody else. Just settle just except this is

2:04 Speaker 2: your lot in life, and we think that this is

2:06 Speaker 2: all that's going to happen. The first and foremost thing

2:09 Speaker 2: I want you to understand is that in this passage.

2:11 Speaker 2: There's a moment when the king King herod Agrippa.

2:16 Speaker 1: What did he do?

2:17 Speaker 2: He put Apostle James to death? All right, and right now.

2:22 Speaker 2: What happened is that he has seen that he gets

2:25 Speaker 2: a lot of attention. Everybody is happy and the Jews

2:28 Speaker 2: are pleased when he put Apostle James to death. So

2:32 Speaker 2: he's now taken Apostle Peter and he has planned to

2:36 Speaker 2: do the same to Apostle Peter. Here's the thing I

2:38 Speaker 2: want you to understand. Right we think that, oh James

2:41 Speaker 2: was killed, now it is Peter Stern. We would just

2:44 Speaker 2: give up. Even before the fight begins, we say that,

2:47 Speaker 2: oh my gosh, everybody in my job scenario, in my company,

2:51 Speaker 2: they're all losing their jobs. It's time for me to

2:53 Speaker 2: suffer as well. I'm also going to lose I we're

2:55 Speaker 2: not going to get on a good one. We start

2:59 Speaker 2: thinking defeat even before the fight begins. See, I want

3:02 Speaker 2: you to understand just because James was killed doesn't mean

3:05 Speaker 2: Peter was killed. What happened eventually was that because in

3:10 Speaker 2: Peter's case, the Lord showed up in a supernatural way

3:13 Speaker 2: and delivered Peter. This is the word I want to

3:16 Speaker 2: challenge each one of you today that you know what,

3:19 Speaker 2: instead of looking at somebody else's life and thinking that's

3:21 Speaker 2: the standard for your life, I want you to understand

3:24 Speaker 2: your standard is the promises of God over your life,

3:28 Speaker 2: the individual plan that God has for you. So I'm

3:31 Speaker 2: always saying that you won't have troubles. No, that's not

3:34 Speaker 2: what I'm saying. In this world, you will have troubles.

3:36 Speaker 2: I'm not saying that you know you're going to live forever,

3:39 Speaker 2: You're never going to get killed. That's not what I'm saying. Right,

3:42 Speaker 2: you know for a disappointed by God, that man shall

3:46 Speaker 2: die once and then comes the judgment. That's what the

3:49 Speaker 2: scripture says. So we will not, you know, be able

3:52 Speaker 2: to escape that. But the truth of the matter is

3:55 Speaker 2: God will fulfill the purpose for our life. We should

3:59 Speaker 2: not look at what happened to somebody else, or everybody

4:01 Speaker 2: else died of corona. I'm also going to die of

4:04 Speaker 2: this sickness, or everybody else face this problem. I'm also

4:07 Speaker 2: going to face this. Can I tell you something. There

4:09 Speaker 2: were situations in my life I've seen this where people say, John,

4:13 Speaker 2: you know what everybody else is going through this, You're

4:15 Speaker 2: also going to go through this, I'm like, you know what,

4:18 Speaker 2: I'm not going to let other people's whatever happened to

4:22 Speaker 2: them become the standard for my life. I'm going to

4:24 Speaker 2: choose to believe, Yes, God, something happened for them. I'm sorry,

4:28 Speaker 2: pray for them, sympathize, strengthen and encourage them. But I'm

4:32 Speaker 2: not going to let that dictate my life. I'm not

4:35 Speaker 2: going to give up even before the fight begins. I'm

4:38 Speaker 2: going to choose to believe God. You know what, Yes,

4:40 Speaker 2: James was killed. But you know what, I'm Peter, maybe

4:44 Speaker 2: my God's plan for my life is different. I'm not

4:47 Speaker 2: going to, you know, choose to live in defeat, choose

4:50 Speaker 2: to sit in defeat, but I'm going to allow this

4:53 Speaker 2: truth to set into my life. So that's my challenge

4:56 Speaker 2: to you that even as we step into this week,

4:59 Speaker 2: I want you to just think about areas in your

5:01 Speaker 2: life where you're already looking at somebody else's life and

5:05 Speaker 2: you're thinking that, you know what, this is what happened

5:07 Speaker 2: to them, This is the thing that never worked for them,

5:10 Speaker 2: This business idea never worked for this family member, or

5:13 Speaker 2: this kind of marriage never worked for somebody else. Can

5:17 Speaker 2: I tell you something what happened or did not happen

5:20 Speaker 2: to them is not the standard for your life. What

5:23 Speaker 2: God has ordained for you will prevail over your life. Amen.
