Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcast. All through this week,
Speaker 2: we're looking at various aspects that we can learn and
Speaker 2: inculcate in our life knowing God has our heavenly Father.
Speaker 2: As much as I've spoken a lot about my debut
Speaker 2: book on Vail Your Purpose, which helps people to discover
Speaker 2: and walk in their God given purpose, because that became
Speaker 2: a number one best seller on Amazon, I'd really been
Speaker 2: pushing that hard on a lot of those who love reading,
Speaker 2: saying go and check this out because it's been a
Speaker 2: great blessing. I also want to take this time to
Speaker 2: just remind you of the fact that I've authored multiple books,
Speaker 2: and the very first book that I ever wrote in
Speaker 2: twenty seventeen was a book called Who Am I. Basically,
Speaker 2: this is a book on identity, knowing who you are
Speaker 2: in Christ, because I believe that as much as we
Speaker 2: just know God as a distant figure of God, or
Speaker 2: maybe you know that God is a father, but many
Speaker 2: times we don't realize the implications of knowing God as
Speaker 2: your father. So I remember an incident where there was
Speaker 2: this particular student in school where everybody loved to be
Speaker 2: around him, that students were always proud to say that
Speaker 2: they're his friend. The teachers were always kind to him,
Speaker 2: They went the extra mile to be nice to him
Speaker 2: and make sure that he was in the good books.
Speaker 2: And if you notice everything revolved around him, it seemed
Speaker 2: like that. And the truth of the matter is why
Speaker 2: was this boy getting special treatment? Why is it that
Speaker 2: everybody liked him, Why is it that the teachers wanted
Speaker 2: to be kind to him? The reason is very simple,
Speaker 2: because his father was the owner and principle of the school.
Speaker 2: Because his dad was the owner, because his dad was
Speaker 2: the one controlling the school. Everybody wanted to be in
Speaker 2: his good books. They wanted to be in a circle.
Speaker 2: They were proud to be connected with him. They were
Speaker 2: proud to make sure that. You know what, I'll go
Speaker 2: the extra mile for him. I'll try to impress myself,
Speaker 2: or I want to impress this person. I want to
Speaker 2: impress him. I want to do this, I want to
Speaker 2: do that. The teachers are making sure that, you know,
Speaker 2: with regard to this boy, everything is Pitcher perfect. Why
Speaker 2: because they want to impress their principle or their boss. Right,
Speaker 2: So I wanted to think in this the same way
Speaker 2: this boy got special treatment because his father was the
Speaker 2: owner and controller of the school, the principle of the school.
Speaker 2: You have special treatment, you have special favor because your
Speaker 2: heavenly father is the owner and the controller and the
Speaker 2: sovereign ruler of this entire universe, as a child of
Speaker 2: the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the
Speaker 2: one who said, in for example, in Psalm twenty four,
Speaker 2: verse one, that the earth and everything in it and
Speaker 2: everyone in it belongs to the Lord, which means, like
Speaker 2: the way this principle had the whole school, the students,
Speaker 2: the staff, everyone in his control to make sure everything
Speaker 2: was running fine. Same way your heavenly father is in
Speaker 2: sovereign control. He's making sure that everything is fine. But
Speaker 2: the benefit that you and I have is like the
Speaker 2: same way this boy had his own dad in the
Speaker 2: principle's office or in the controlling section, he had nothing
Speaker 2: to worry about. He had special favor. He had special
Speaker 2: access which other people did not get that enabled him
Speaker 2: to be set apart. And that is the same way
Speaker 2: you and I have that benefit. Where the Bible says
Speaker 2: in e. Bruce four sixteen, we can go boldly to
Speaker 2: the throne of grace. We can have direct access. It
Speaker 2: says in one of the translations, confidently we can move
Speaker 2: why because we know that you know what, I'm not
Speaker 2: an ordinary person. I'm not just trying to make it
Speaker 2: through life. I have an advantage. I have a special
Speaker 2: favor that surrounds me. If you see, even in the
Speaker 2: Book of a FIESI Sorry, in the Book of Psalms
Speaker 2: five verse twelve, it says that the favor is like
Speaker 2: a shield. You have God's favor like the way this
Speaker 2: boy had that favor. The right people liked him. The
Speaker 2: wrong people obviously would not like him. The right people
Speaker 2: who would always try to be in his good books
Speaker 2: try to impress him. Why because they want to get
Speaker 2: things done. So on a similar note, you have to
Speaker 2: understand even the teachers, they don't want to play the
Speaker 2: fool with him because their jobs will be at stake.
Speaker 2: So same way you will have to understand that when
Speaker 2: you know that you're a child of the King of
Speaker 2: Kings and the Lord of lots, when you walk with
Speaker 2: that awareness, what happens is that the right people will
Speaker 2: be kind to you. The right people will be standing
Speaker 2: by you, supporting you, cheering you. They'll the right people
Speaker 2: will actually be proud to be associated with you. They
Speaker 2: will say, you know what, my friend is the son
Speaker 2: of the principle. My friend is the son of the
Speaker 2: King of Kings, and a lot of flats think about
Speaker 2: it in that sense, that's the way the way God
Speaker 2: is going to allow. When you walk in that awareness
Speaker 2: of what you carry as a child of the King
Speaker 2: of kings, you see sometimes I've seen, especially when the
Speaker 2: ministry started going up, especially the podcast ranking up the charts.
Speaker 2: When I started having run out guests on my podcast,
Speaker 2: I started noticing some people who would not give me
Speaker 2: the time of day who would make fun of me
Speaker 2: or put me down making statements like this, Oh, I
Speaker 2: can't believe my classmate, my friend, he got to interview
Speaker 2: so and so he was able to go and travel
Speaker 2: internationally and preach. He's doing great things. The same people
Speaker 2: who did not value me before suddenly started saying like,
Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I can't believe you're doing all of this.
Speaker 2: I'm proud to be your friend. You know what I mean.
Speaker 2: The same way I want you to know that when
Speaker 2: you know you're a child of God, God will enable
Speaker 2: you to get those that favor, like the way Hester
Speaker 2: found that favor. If you see in esther fivers to
Speaker 2: the King allowed her to come and meet him, and
Speaker 2: what happens, She's able to get the job done, the
Speaker 2: assignment to save the Jews from Hammond. So you see,
Speaker 2: that's what favor does. Enables you to accomplish your task.
Speaker 2: It gives you access to places that other people will
Speaker 2: find it hard to go to see. For example, to
Speaker 2: meet the principle in a general note, it would be like, oh,
Speaker 2: I have to meet the principle. You know, I need
Speaker 2: to get permission, I need to get the appointment, and
Speaker 2: all of that. But this little boy had no worry
Speaker 2: whatsoever because it was as much as the title as
Speaker 2: principle for him. He was his father, so he could
Speaker 2: go in anytime. He was just one call away. He
Speaker 2: could meet and talk to him personally after school, anything, anytime,
Speaker 2: because he had access that other people do not have
Speaker 2: access to. Today, as a child of God, you have access.
Speaker 2: You know, that favor will give you access to places
Speaker 2: that other people will not be able to understand how
Speaker 2: you got it. Sometimes people ask me this question all
Speaker 2: the time. How did you get to meet this person?
Speaker 2: How did you get to connect with this person? How
Speaker 2: did you get to have this person on my podcast?
Speaker 2: To be honest, it's not because of who I am,
Speaker 2: you know, like I'm great or something like that. Not
Speaker 2: in that sense. But I believe in this. I keep saying, God,
Speaker 2: I have your favor, which gives me access to places
Speaker 2: that I can't go on my own. See, that's the
Speaker 2: favor that is available to you and to me. See,
Speaker 2: even when I want to close with this example of
Speaker 2: the Pharaoh and Moses, right, we think about the incident
Speaker 2: when God called Moses to go back to the Pharaoh
Speaker 2: and give him allowed him to you know, deliver the
Speaker 2: people of Israel. Here's the thing I wanted to understand. Now,
Speaker 2: we look at it like a story where it's all
Speaker 2: about Moses having fear, like how can I go back
Speaker 2: to the Pharaoh, how can I talk to the Pharaoh.
Speaker 2: We look at all of those aspects and there is
Speaker 2: truth to all of that. But for me, my man
Speaker 2: always looks at protocol because I remember there was an
Speaker 2: incidant where even in the royal family of England just
Speaker 2: about a year or two ago, when there was a
Speaker 2: little tough happening with some of their family members, I
Speaker 2: came to know that one of the sons was not
Speaker 2: given the axes to meet his own father, the king. Okay,
Speaker 2: this was something that came to the news and that
Speaker 2: really caught my attention. This prince who lived and walked
Speaker 2: with his father now is not given the access to
Speaker 2: meet his own father, the king right now, Like I
Speaker 2: was thinking, like, look at the protocol. If that is
Speaker 2: the case, then imagine the protocol involved where a fugitive
Speaker 2: Moses who was not even the own son, He was
Speaker 2: an adopted son, right, he was not even an own son, Like,
Speaker 2: how did he get access to meet with the Pharaoh?
Speaker 2: Like have you thought about the protocol? Have you thought
Speaker 2: about how difficult it would have been? How did he
Speaker 2: get to meet the pharaoh? Because for me, the bigger
Speaker 2: thing than the fact that he had the fear and
Speaker 2: he was scared and all of that. There is a
Speaker 2: place for all of that, But for me, the point
Speaker 2: was how do did he get access? How did he
Speaker 2: by pass the protocol and meet with the pharaoh without
Speaker 2: actually being executed because he's a fugitive who should actually
Speaker 2: be executed when he goes back to the land. How
Speaker 2: you see that is access. And today, when you walk
Speaker 2: with that awareness that as a child of God you
Speaker 2: have favor and access, you will not walk thinking like,
Speaker 2: oh am I going to make it through life. You
Speaker 2: will walk with that boldness. You will walk with that confidence,
Speaker 2: and you will say, you know what, my daddy is
Speaker 2: the principle, my Daddy controls the old universe.
Speaker 1: I don't have to worry.
Speaker 2: He can. He controls everybody. He is in sovereign control
Speaker 2: of everything. So what doors need to be open, which
Speaker 2: protocol needs to be bypassed, It's in his hands. So
Speaker 2: when you walk with that awareness and confidence, you will
Speaker 2: see God open doors. No man can shut you will
Speaker 2: see access to places you couldn't go on your own,
Speaker 2: and you will fulfill the purpose that God has since
Speaker 2: store for you. I really challenge you to leave a
