0:54 Speaker 2: about the mandate of walking in love. We're going to

0:59 Speaker 2: look at biblical aspects with regard to walking in love

1:02 Speaker 2: and also how you can practically make sure that you

1:06 Speaker 2: have good relationships, because I want you to understand this

1:09 Speaker 2: is not just between a husband and a wife or

1:14 Speaker 2: in a family setting. It can be walking in love continually.

1:17 Speaker 2: We're going to talk about various aspects because you and

1:20 Speaker 2: I are not called to live as islands. We're called

1:22 Speaker 2: to live in community, in fellowship with one another. We're

1:27 Speaker 2: called to build each other up. We're going to look

1:29 Speaker 2: at various aspects about what the Bible talks about, how

1:32 Speaker 2: we are called to live in churches, in communities, in

1:36 Speaker 2: schools and colleges and workplaces, and in the neighborhood and

1:41 Speaker 2: anywhere for that matter. You're not called to be by yourself.

1:44 Speaker 2: You're called to live with people, build relationships and have

1:48 Speaker 2: that sense of you know, community, And that's the way

1:53 Speaker 2: the Lord has called us to live, you know, he

1:56 Speaker 2: wants us to live like that. And today we're going

1:59 Speaker 2: to start with this introduction because I want to tell

2:01 Speaker 2: you something. Why did I choose this? Of course, February

2:05 Speaker 2: is known as the low month, or especially with the

2:08 Speaker 2: Valentine's Day coming in February fourteen, you know, we're going

2:11 Speaker 2: to have a lot of talks about the aspect of

2:14 Speaker 2: you know, love in general. But today I want to

2:16 Speaker 2: start off by giving you an introduction on you know,

2:19 Speaker 2: how you can practically, you know, walk in that kind

2:23 Speaker 2: of love that God has called us to live. And

2:26 Speaker 2: I'm going to start off by a couple of scriptures

2:28 Speaker 2: I want to quote and I want to take it forward.

2:31 Speaker 2: First Corinthians, chapter thirteen, verse thirteen. And this is what

2:35 Speaker 2: this is known as the loud chapter written by the

2:37 Speaker 2: apostle Paul. And this is what it says. And now

2:40 Speaker 2: these three remain faith, hope, and love. But the greatest

2:45 Speaker 2: of these is love. The Bible says, these three things

2:52 Speaker 2: remain faith, hope, and love. And he goes on to say,

2:57 Speaker 2: but the greatest of these is loved. You may say, like,

3:00 Speaker 2: why is love so important? Because you know, I thought

3:04 Speaker 2: holiness was the most important. I thought faith was the

3:06 Speaker 2: most important. I thought, you know, doing the fild of

3:10 Speaker 2: God is the most important. I thought the ministry is

3:14 Speaker 2: the most important. But I wanted you to understand everything

3:17 Speaker 2: stems from the place where you have to check is

3:21 Speaker 2: it coming from the place of love. You can do

3:25 Speaker 2: ministry with no love for people. You can do ministry

3:30 Speaker 2: just because you want position, you love to showcase your talents,

3:34 Speaker 2: but not because you actually love the Lord. So this

3:37 Speaker 2: is a really, really important place to start, because I

3:40 Speaker 2: believe that love should be the center. Because when you

3:44 Speaker 2: look at what Jesus said, right, he said when he

3:47 Speaker 2: was asked to even in Matthew chapter twenty two. He

3:51 Speaker 2: was asked, teacher, which is the greatest commandment? And this

3:54 Speaker 2: is what Jesus. Jesus response was, love the Lord your

3:58 Speaker 2: God with all your heart, with all your mind, and

4:01 Speaker 2: with all your soul. And love your neighbor as yourself,

4:05 Speaker 2: stating that all the law and the prophets and on

4:09 Speaker 2: these I want you to understand. Jesus is summing up

4:12 Speaker 2: kind of saying, you know what, everything stems on the

4:16 Speaker 2: balance of love, loving God, loving people. You cannot presume

4:21 Speaker 2: to say I love God if you don't love people.

4:25 Speaker 2: That's what the Bible says. If you say I love

4:28 Speaker 2: God but you hate your brother, how can you're a

4:31 Speaker 2: hypocrite because how can you love God whom you have

4:34 Speaker 2: not seen when you cannot even love the brother whom

4:39 Speaker 2: you can see and you're living with. You know, I

4:42 Speaker 2: want you to just think about this. You know, love

4:45 Speaker 2: is the cornerstone. Love should be a foundation in everything

4:49 Speaker 2: that you do. You're saying, you know what, I want

4:51 Speaker 2: to build this home. I want to build this family.

4:54 Speaker 2: I want to build this church, this community. I want

4:56 Speaker 2: to build this ministry. I want to build or be

5:00 Speaker 2: the leader in this in this neighborhood. I want to be, uh,

5:05 Speaker 2: you know, the light in the darkness. I want to

5:07 Speaker 2: do this work in the area of politics or ministry,

5:10 Speaker 2: or or or even in the entertainment industry or a business.

5:14 Speaker 2: Anything that you do, if it stems from a place

5:17 Speaker 2: of love, it will be long lasting. If it stems

5:22 Speaker 2: from a place of compassion, it will make an impact.

5:28 Speaker 2: If it's stemming from any other place, if it's stemming

5:32 Speaker 2: from just personal gain or money, or just to get

5:35 Speaker 2: the fame, or just for you know, just that self right,

5:39 Speaker 2: just think you know, you know I've done some good work,

5:43 Speaker 2: it will not be long lasting. And today my challenge is,

5:48 Speaker 2: even as we step forward in the next couple of

5:52 Speaker 2: days talking about various aspects with regard to working in

5:55 Speaker 2: love and how you can practically start working in love

5:59 Speaker 2: with the people around you, I really challenge you to

6:03 Speaker 2: join and journey together because we're going to look at

6:06 Speaker 2: various aspects. I believe powerful revelations from God's word which

6:10 Speaker 2: will help us to check where am I in terms

6:15 Speaker 2: of my walk with people? Am I truly walking in love?

6:20 Speaker 2: Or am I just saying that I walk in love?

6:23 Speaker 2: And tomorrow I'm going to talk about the importance or

6:28 Speaker 2: what does the Bible mean when it says that we

6:30 Speaker 2: are called to walk in love. I'm I'm going to

6:32 Speaker 2: share this tomorrow, but today I want you to keep

6:35 Speaker 2: this in your mind, and I want you to just pray, Lord,

6:39 Speaker 2: if there's a relationship in my life, whether it's a

6:42 Speaker 2: family member, whether it's a colleague, whether it's somebody in

6:46 Speaker 2: your neighborhood with whom you're not working in love, let

6:49 Speaker 2: this word remind you. Let this word peer us through

6:54 Speaker 2: your heart. Say and allow the Word to work in you.

6:57 Speaker 2: I love the Holy Spirit to convict you and say,

7:01 Speaker 2: I need to set this relationship right. I need to

7:04 Speaker 2: be a better person in this area so that I

7:08 Speaker 2: will show compassion rather than just being indifferent. Emmett I
