Finding GOD's Will Sermon Series Part 6 - GOD's Will and GOD's Word | John Giftah | Christian Sermon

are continuing our cities on the aspect of finding Gods for our life, or

maybe when you want to make decisions and you want to be sure sure that

it's this either way God wants, it is God's will or is this my

own will? ISTI the way God says, or is it something that I'm

making us a mistake thinking this is God's will. So we're going to talk

about various aspects and in today's episode, once you established the fact that you

have a desire to know God's will and you are committed to do God's will,

even if it is contradicting what you want, and when you have dealt

with your heart and when you are sure that you have channelized your desires and

committed your desires into the hands of Almighty God. We're going to talk about

the next aspect with regard to God's will, and it is something very common,

but yet I wanted to take this segment to remind you of various aspects

where you need to be cautious about this aspect, and that is, you

know the aspect in line with what I shared yesterday, that you know God's

will is always in line with his word. God will is always in line

with his word. So if you need to make any decision or you want

to know what is God's will, you can always bank upon his word.

And that's why it's so important for you and I to feed on his word.

How can you know his will unless you read his word right. His

word is so important. We need to always come back to the word of

God to understand what is God's will with regard to say, so many decisions

you have to make. Now. Of course, you may say, John,

there are certain things you know the Bible doesn't say. You know whether

I should take up this job or not take up that job, or whether

I should go after this opportunity. You know, there are there are things

where you have, so many other things which we will cover in upcoming episodes.

But today I want to set the stage to let you know that if

some decision you want to make that's not align with God's word, you can

know without a shadow of a doubt that that is not will right. God

will never contradict his word, and you can always vouch on that. And

if God has already told certain things in his word, that is more than

enough for you to take it up as God's will. Now, I want

to give you a scripture with you. Now, sometimes what happens is there

are certain things the Bible is very clear about. You know. For example,

the Bible says to not yokia yourself with unbelievers. In other words,

you should be careful that you know, you don't get into partnership or marry

and nonbeliever. Now, these are commands written in the Word of God,

and when you go against it, you face a lot of challenges in your

life. I know so many people who were against me for telling them a

don't go after this, or maybe they would have heard messages or people giving

them a word of advice or not to go for it. But later those

very people would come and say, John, I made a mistake. You

know, as theys go by, the reality is dawning. I made a

mistake in marrying this person who doesn't have the same faith as I do.

And you know, so many challenges in my life because of that. Now,

why I'm saying that is when there's something already written in the world,

and when you go against it, you know you have to bear the consequence

of it. So when there's something in the world already, you don't have

to say, I know it's written in the world, but I love this

person so much, I'm going to pray that, you know, God will

give me a three hundred and sixty five signs or God will you know or

somehow say yes, And you know, I want to be convinced that God

is going to ensure that, you know, using me, God is going

to change that other person. Neither the various things people say when they end

up marrying an unbeliever because that's what they want, and then what happens they

end up going through a lot of heartache and pain because of that, don't

let that be. If something is already in the world, that means you

don't have to think about out it anymore. Just obey the word of God.

If the Bible says do not murder, you don't have to pray and

say, you know what, I hate this person, so God, you

know what, let me just murder this person. No. No, the

Bible is very clear on that. Okay, now, some of you message

on who do you think is going to go into the aspect of murdering.

No, if you look at it in the scripture, if you're see in

the light of the New Testament, even if you hate someone, you've already

murdered them. So in that regard, if you see, then if the

Bible says that you should not murder, it means you should not even hate

someone. I want you to think about it. Are the people who cannot

tolerate and other people that hate so much? Did you talk ill of them,

gossip about them, put them down? I know so many Christians who

do that. Oh I don't agree with this person's theology. Let them go

to hell and suffer. I mean like they literally do that. It doesn't

align God's word. So you have to understand the important truths. There sains

of God. You have to introspect every decision you may should align with the

word of God. Oh I love everybody, but I cannot forgive that person.

Well, the Bible is very clear that you have to forgive. So

if there's something in the world of God that tells you to do something,

then there is no second thought about it. If it's already written in the

world, then you don't have to think twice about it. You don't need

another three hundred and sixty five confirmations from God for you to take a decision.

Just go by something because it's already given. You get what I'm saying.

Now, let me give you another scripture Acts, Chapter one, verse

twenty, Peter is addressing after Jesus's death and resurrection. And this is what

Peter is telling them, okay, for it is written in the book of

Psalms. May his camp become desolate and let no one dwell in it.

That is talking about Judas, Okay. And then he quotes another scripture which

says let another take his position. Now, different translation uses different words,

so one says, may another take his place of leadership, another says,

let another take his office. Another translation says let someone else take his position.

So it's basically talking about Psalm under the nine verse heat which says may

another take his position talking about Judas. So what do you infer from this

is that this decision of choosing another person to be a replacement for Judas,

Peter is making this decision for the entire Chris didn't the whole you know what

you call Itstianity is starting in this place. This is that moment, So

the entire thing, this decision is going to affect so many things. Right,

He's making this decision saying let another take his place, and goes forward

to choose a replacement for Judas. And what you have to remember is that

he's not going forward to make a replacement for Judas because he got visitations,

or he got some signs, or whether Jesus came and told him a,

Peter, I want you to go and get a replacement. No, no,

no no. Do you know why he went ahead to make that replacement

just because he says, for it is written, for it is written,

not because he got visitations and angels and signs and wonders. Now, I'm

not against all of that, please, I'm someone who's for all of that.

But what I'm saying is he didn't need all of that for him to

go ahead with such a big decision. He made such a big decision just

because it was written in the world, which means if something is written in

the world, that is more than enough for you to make a big decision

in your life. A man, such a big decision that is going to

change the course of history was made just because it's already written in the world.

Then what makes you think that when there is something already written in the

world, you want some extra thing from God? You know God? Yes,

the Bible says, do not marry an unbeliever, But I want to

do this because I love this person and I'm going to change that person.

And blah blah, blah, blah blah, all kinds of stuff people say,

and then they get into a lot of trouble. Or why just talk

about managed Let's talk about so many other reasons, right, so many other

things that people do. God has already said in his word about so many

things, about forgiveness, about love, about being a peacemaker, being a

person of ex silence. It's already written in the world, so The first

and foremost thing is take time to know the world, take time to read

the Word. Now, I'll tell you this before it grows. Now,

you may say, John, but there's so much in the Bible, and

how will I know what is God's will or God's were in line with that

situation. Well, I'll tell you honestly, life is so easy for us

today. I mean literally, you want to know what's God's will if you're

facing sickness, go on Google and search for verses on God's healing power and

you'll find so many. You want to know what is God's will for a

certain situation, and you want to know what is God's will? Okay,

John, I need clarity in my life. Just go on Google and search

for it. You find so many scriptures. Life is so easy today for

us. Actually, you don't need, you know, like to become a

scholar of who has read the Bible cover to cover a million times to know

it. I mean, if you've done that, if you've read the Bible

so many times, or you're doing that, it's great do that. But

I'm sure practically it's very difficult for us to finish the complete Bible multiple times

enough to remember everything, and that's why we have this benefit. You don't

remember something, just google it. I mean literally, I'm telling you it's

so easy today. Of course, you need to see the context of the

words and all of that. That's also equally important. But what I'm saying

is it is definitely easier than go there and take the Bible and go line

by line having no idea where to find the answer. Today it's so easy.

You want to know, Oh, what is God's wild regarding finance,

Go and Google search for versus which point to finance. And you know,

be cautious when you take with scripture. But take it and go to your

Bible and read the context of it, and obviously you will be able to

make something out of it, and you'll be able to understand, Okay,

this is what is God's will for this, and you can make the right

choice. Everything in the Bible about finance, investment, it's all there.

Ecclesiases Leavin talks about investment. There's so many things you can learn just from

the Bible. But it all comes down to you, you knowing the Bible.

And that's what I want you to do, right, Spend as much

as time possible reading the word, feeding on the word. At the same

time, when you do not know something, use the help of Google.

I'm sure it will help you to find a navigate to the right passages and

then keep meditating and that will help you to make the Chians in your life.
