Speaker 1: Welcome to Fuel for the Soul with John Gifta.
Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for
Speaker 2: the Soul with John Gifta podcasts. All through this week.
Speaker 2: We're looking at various lessons that we can take away
Speaker 2: from the passage recorded in Acts chapter twelve. Today, one
Speaker 2: of the things I want to talk about is how,
Speaker 2: if you look at this incident right, Peter is in
Speaker 2: a very despicable place. He's in a place where he's
Speaker 2: about to be killed. The next day, he's going to
Speaker 2: be put on trial and he's going to be killed.
Speaker 2: And the scripture talks about how in the midst of this,
Speaker 2: he was fast asleep. Right now, think about this. I
Speaker 2: really want you to think about this. How could Peter
Speaker 2: be in a place of rest and trust in the
Speaker 2: midst of uncertainty. I want you to go and check
Speaker 2: out my previous episode because there's so much to learn
Speaker 2: from that. But this one thing I want to talk about.
Speaker 2: When you look at verse seven, it says, when he's
Speaker 2: in the midst of this, said deenly, there was a
Speaker 2: bright light in the cell, and then Angel of the
Speaker 2: Lord stood before Peter. I want you to understand the
Speaker 2: word suddenly. Right. This is from the Nalty version, because
Speaker 2: some versions may use a different word, But I want
Speaker 2: you to understand the words suddenly. See, it looked like
Speaker 2: Peter was in this position. There was no way out
Speaker 2: in the natural. It looked like, oh my goodness, James
Speaker 2: was killed and now Peter is about to be killed.
Speaker 2: There was no way out. Of course, the scripture talks
Speaker 2: about how the church prayed for him earnestly in verse five.
Speaker 2: But yes, you see that when he's in the midst
Speaker 2: of uncertainty, in the midst of everything, looking like the
Speaker 2: same way it happened to James is going to happen
Speaker 2: to Peter. The Bible says, saiddenly, there was a supernatural intervention. See,
Speaker 2: I want you to understand. Sometimes we look at life
Speaker 2: from what happened to somebody else. We look at life
Speaker 2: from how everything looks the same. Everything looks normal, there's
Speaker 2: no visible change of anything turning around, and we think like,
Speaker 2: oh my goodness, how am I ever going to see
Speaker 2: a miracle? How is anything going to be different in
Speaker 2: my life? How is my output ever going to change?
Speaker 2: I think that I'm going to die of this sickness
Speaker 2: as well, just like that other person. I'm going to
Speaker 2: be laid off like this other person, or this other
Speaker 2: team member who was laid off in the organization. Or
Speaker 2: I'm going to face the same trials. I'm going to
Speaker 2: face the same divorce. I'm going to face the same breakup.
Speaker 2: I'm going to face the same financial crisis. I'm going
Speaker 2: to face the same trouble with my kid. So sometimes
Speaker 2: we look at the same thing because we're looking at however,
Speaker 2: everything looks normal, exactly how it looked for somebody else.
Speaker 2: Everything looks normal because you feel like nothing is changing.
Speaker 2: Peter was in this place, nothing changed, He was in change.
Speaker 2: These guards were there the same one in authority. Nothing changed,
Speaker 2: but suddenly there was a change. Suddenly there was a
Speaker 2: supernatural intervention. I don't know who needs to hear this
Speaker 2: word that you may feel like nothing is changing. You're saying,
Speaker 2: at least there should be some sign of something turning around.
Speaker 2: There should be some sign of progress, some sign of
Speaker 2: a miracle, some sign of a clouds appearing for the rain,
Speaker 2: some sign of a turnaround, or in some kind of
Speaker 2: intervention that should happen. But there is nothing happening. But
Speaker 2: I want you to understand, just because nothing has happened
Speaker 2: thus far, that's not me. Nothing will happen because the
Speaker 2: Bible uses this word suddenly for a reason. When God
Speaker 2: wants to move in your life, nothing may be changing,
Speaker 2: and then everything looks ordinary, Everything looks like it's exactly
Speaker 2: how it was for somebody else. It feels like you
Speaker 2: are headed to the same fate at somebody else. But
Speaker 2: I want you to understand the way God suddenly turned
Speaker 2: the things around in Peter's life. Said there was a
Speaker 2: supernatural intervention. Suddenly there was a breakthrough, Suddenly there was
Speaker 2: a miracle. I want to speak over you today. You're
Speaker 2: looking at your life from the natural perspective. But we
Speaker 2: serve a supernatural God. You're looking at your life from
Speaker 2: a natural outlook of life. But I want you to
Speaker 2: understand that we serve a supernatural God who is working
Speaker 2: behind the scenes. You have no idea what he's about
Speaker 2: to do and how he's going to suddainly do a
Speaker 2: miracle and turn your life around. I really want you
Speaker 2: to share this with someone because I want you to
Speaker 2: give this word of encouragement to them. They may be
Speaker 2: feeling like my life is not changing. They may be
Speaker 2: feeling like everything looks so mundane. They may be feeling like,
Speaker 2: oh my goodness, John, nothing is changing. I'm praying, I'm believing,
Speaker 2: I'm fasting, I'm looking up to the Lord. I'm having
Speaker 2: a spirit of excellence. I'm doing all of these things,
Speaker 2: but nothing is changing. But I wanted to understand nothing
Speaker 2: was changing till that moment when suddenly there was a
Speaker 2: supernatural intervention through which Peter was miraculously delivered, And that
Speaker 2: same God is the god operating in your life. It
Speaker 2: feels like you're hitting a dead hand. It feels like
Speaker 2: you're stuck in life. It feels like nothing is working out.
Speaker 2: It feels like your prayers are just hitting the wall.
Speaker 2: It feels like nothing is making any sense for you
Speaker 2: to still hold on. But I'm here to announce to
Speaker 2: you the same God who suddenly turned the situation around
Speaker 2: for Peter is going to suddenly turn your life around.
Speaker 2: He's going to bring the miracle, the breakthrough, the right connections,
Speaker 2: the divine appointments, and the opportunities that will trust you
Speaker 2: to the next level of your destiny. If you believe,
Speaker 2: I want you to just leave a comment, share this
Speaker 2: with someone, and I will see you back very soon.
Speaker 2: God bless you.
